Life Styles Hot Spring Spa, Watkin Hot Springs Manufacturing Bad Customer Service, Warranty not honored Fenton Michigan
Purchased Hot Tub Fall 2002. Need to have service because tub is not heating or draining properly. Called Life Styles (where I purchased the tub) and told them tub was empty and what the problem was. They came out said tub needed to be filled with water left bill for $95. I talked to girls in office on 3 occasions and told them they didn't tell me tub needed to be filled. They said they would talk to service manager and get back to me. In June the heater was not working so I called again and they refuse to service the tub until I pay the $95. There is suppose to be no "house call charge" for servicing their product. I asked to speak to someone besides the service manager and they refused to give me that person name or to let me talk to them. I called Watkins and they tried to talk to the service manager and said he was a problem and would not do anything to get me service. They gave me the number of another company who is 100 miles from me and will honor the warranty but will charge me a milage charge. Watkins should of worked this out with the original company Life Styles who I purchased the tub through. I still have 2 1/2 years on the warranty. Or they should pay the milage. It sounds like Dimitree at Life Styles is a rotten manager. I have spent about $500 a year in chemicals/filters at Life Styles. Right now I have an expensive bird bath built into my deck.
