I contracted Ken Rolfe at Lincoln Steel Buildings to build me a building in 12/19. A 30x40 Steel C channel building for a total of 11300$ delivered by 4/2020. 2825$ I paid by credit card in December of 2019 and by cashiers check another 2825$ in march of 2020 and the rest due on delivery.
After all excuses I realized in 11/20 that I wouldnt get my building and disputed the 2825$ with my credit card company.
Then 12/19/20 I received a call from Ken Rolfe and he said they are willing to build my building for an extra 2325$ because Lincoln Steel is out of business and they shorted their contractor building the buildings that much.
I refused to pay more and that is where we are at. So I went 13 months without my building and now the prices are about 4k more than what I contracted for back in 2019.
My credit card company said Lincoln Steel hasnt responded to my dispute so I get my 2825$ back but the cashiers check is gone so I am out one payment.
They havent responded to anything on bbb or threw any of the other consumer services I talked to about them. However my salesman still answers his phone and responds to my texts he tells me he hasnt been paid in months. I was also told Lincoln Steel has a few different fake names and all their addresses are po boxes. They were owned by Lexam Industries which has been dissolved but they share an address. I filed a report with the Florida Attorney General and I am hoping for more info from them.
