LIQUIDATION.COM / Liquidity Services, Inc.: Misleading information/lack of description TO SELL JUNK at high prices... Washington District of Columbia
I had an idea in my head that since Liquidation.com has such a big name, they would be a reputable company and have good customer service. I was wrong. As a living I buy and resell electronics on the internet. I recently saw one of their auctions advertising (20) XBOX 360's as returns, sold "as-is." My first thought since these were returns from big retail stores, was that the XBOX's were just lightly used returns, and that they would be in warranty... OK, maybe a few units would be defective. Well, turns out to be, I receive my merchandise, and all excited I start putting the items to test.
To summarize, 16 out of the 20 units were BAD. Not only did the XBOX's not work, they were old, beat-up, and out of warranty. The LEAST that Liquidation could have described in the auction if they didn't do any tests was that they were dealing with OUT-OF-WARRANTY returns.
I have now been exchanging e-mails and phone calls with Liquidation for a week trying to settle a dispute and return the merchandise for a FULL refund. Four days have past and not a word. My intuition tells me they will write me an e-mail sometime before the end of the month stating a return will not be accepted. I will not tolerate this. It is a complete rip-off in the most artistic way... I agree 200% with what another person said about this company: THEIR LACK OF INFORMATION IS WORSE THAN LIES! They must know what kind of merchandise they are selling; that they don't disclose it is the FILTHIEST TRASHIEST and POOREST way of conducting business.
This matter will not rest until I receive a full refund.
Total amount: $4,105.xx
If they want back the trash that they delivered to me, they shall pay for the shipping back as well.
One last thing...
*** I HAVE STRONG REASONS TO BELIEVE THAT THIS COMPANY PRACTICES SHILL BIDDING AS WELL ***
