Lynne Carole, Lynne C & Co, LLC Failure to pay Bellmore New York
After responding to an online ad, some weeks ago, for contract employment hosting alcoholic beverage tasting events in retail stores, I was offered several engagements conducting wine tastings at a nearby Walmart store.
I worked all of the events - a total of five - in the month of December, 2014. The events were each four hours long, at a rate of $25 per hour, as stated in the event paperwork (MarketLink form), which I filed through the Sunflower website. I also paid for some wine and other supplies out of pocket, and have yet to receive any reimbursement or payment for hours worked.
I called the company and spoke with Lynne Carole last week and she assured me that paychecks were being mailed on Friday, which is now six days in the past, and still I've received no payment. When I called the company earlier today, I got Lynne Carole's voicemail and left a message asking her to return my call.
