First of all there is no excuse for being spoken to in a rude manner. However, when you accept the visa card, and you make charges with it, you also accept the terms that go with that. One of the terms is that they have the right to check your CBR. If you have derogitory credit with other creditors, they can lower your limit. Or close the account, with no explaination required. However, the company does train their employees to give the reason if the custom calls in inquiring about it. If you're not making progress with the representatives, I would suggest calling in... giving them your account number.. then demands to speak to a supervisor.
