Marc Ching is a fraud.He has cheated donors of thousands of dollars under the guise of rescuing animals when all he has done is go round filming torture and seemingly enjoying it and then buying mutilated dogs.
He has publicly admitted to losing $100,000 of donors money and he stole mine.Ching ( if that is even his real name) runs something called the Hope and Wellness Foundation.He claims to have been rescuing animals for years but in fact he only registered his 501c3 in 2014 and has not even filed his accounts yet.
He started off he says specialising in rescuing mutilated dogs from California and then last year developed an unhealthy interest in the dog meat trade.He claims it he is from Hawaii where we all know they eat dog meat.

He claimed he was in Beijing saving dogs.I am not the only one who got taken in by his sob story.He has gotten over $21,000 from this and he can't still be there.In fact I know he is not.

Hi - sorry for the delay in responding. I was trying to confirm with Marc whether we were still working with the orphanage or not. And unfortunately we are not. The dogs he saved from Yulin are at our shelter in Nanning if you would like to go there to visit them and bring them supplies.
There are other dog shelters in Beijing but we no longer operate out of there. I'm happy to find a location for you to visit if that's the only city you are able to travel to.

As you can see this email is dated July." They no longer work out of Beijing" so what are they doing still raising money for rescue efforts there.And as for the Orphanage,well that is how they got me even further.Ching claimed not just to be helping animals but kids as well.What a scumbag.

The Orphange was something I had planned to do on my first trip to China. I went to the orphanage, met the founder, etc. And we had planned to help them, in return, to be allowed to use their farm to house dogs rescued from the meat trade.
However, we chose not to use the orphanage for the fact that it is off grid and not government sanctioned. Meaning, if they find out where the orphanage is, they would raid it and possibly seize all the dogs. (These orphanages are hidden, and based on that I could not tell you it's location. But you could research, and contact them yourself.)
The 1000 plus dogs rescued from Yulin, we built a shelter in Nanning.
Some of dogs were taken by other groups, local and international organizations.
You can wechat Valarie, and she can put you in touch with the person running our shelter so you can visit. His name is Jeffery.
When you travel to Nanning, he can meet you and bring you to the shelter so you can see the dogs, etc. The address is not public information, due to the instability in the region. But through wechat, our main volunteer at the shelter could meet you and take you there.
I am barely on email, so Valarie is a better contact to use.

If he chose not to work with an Orphanage after his first trip in September 2015 how come Valarie did not even know this in July 2015. I checked his facebook and he has now taken down his post where he says he met an Orphan on the street of Beijing and that's how he was going to help kids and dogs.
Now, here are more lies.He says he saved 1000 exactly 1000 dogs from Yulin.By daved he means he bought them with donors money.He says they are at his shelter but as of yesterday when he was questioned by another facebook user he admitted three things.
1.1000 dogs are not in his shelter and in fact he does not even have a shelter.
2.The shelter where some of the dogs are Tree of Life is not a secret location.
3.He has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars of donors so that is public money by giving it to some stranger.
He claims to rescue dogs all around the world but is not much on email.Funny that, he responded to the Facebook User questions in less than one hour.He is also blaming Valarie his director of operations for setting up fundraisers he does not endorse or know about.
There are loads more unanswered questions.He charges $1000 a dog if you want to buy the rescue he has bought and he has got fundraiser all over the place.Let's see just how much of this money raised that he has not " lost" he plans to declare on his IRS FILING.

Yes, he's made mistakes. But as a volunteer who sits with these dogs, I think Marc is a hero. I see the dogs come in with so much abuse in their history and I get to watch their rehabilitation into happy socialized dogs. I challenge anyone else to do a better job at this dangerous and expensive type of rescue. He's doing the best he can with no ill intent to anyone. As an example of his generosity, he counsels clients on pet nutrition free of charge. I was once trying a new food which I purchased at his store and as he saw me walking out with it, he suggested I return it as my breed wouldn't like it. That's not a guy trying to scam people! I hope anyone who reads the report will also read my review as a donor and volunteer.

Whomever wrote this scathing report on Marc Ching is clearly not a friend to animals and has no idea what it is Marc, Valeria and animal hope and wellness do for the dogs and cats of the Asian meat trade! He risks his life time and time again and has subjected himself to horrific experiences in order to save animals and put an end to the disgusting practice of torturing dogs and cats before cruelly killing them for consumption. Yes he has recorded so many horrific things and as an animal lover he has suffered to do so, so that he could make a video to show congress and the world- what really happens in these slaughterhouses. It is beyond anything anyone could ever comprehend. It has killed a part of his soul and his spirit to witness it, but someone had to make this come to light. It won't end until people know the truth. And that is what they do- the expose the truth! This operation costs a lot of money- the shelter itself, the trips back and forth to china, getting the dogs the emergency medical attention they need and then transporting the ones that are able to make it to the United States- this costs MONEY! It makes me sick that anyone would think of marc as fraudulent. He is one of the only true kind human beings that seeks to make a change in the world and yet there will always be some ignorant uniformed conspiracy theorist a*****e who looks to troll around and tear him down. I honestly believe that other animal organizations aren't happy about him taking donations that they want in their pockets and this article was probably written by one of them.

Last Year Marc Ching falsely declared he was "The Man Who Saved 1,000 Dogs From The Yulin Festival" And To This Day He Is Still Pushing Himself As Some Savior.
Of Course He Fails To Mention Of Those 1,000 Dogs He Claims He Saved, His Plan Was So Ill-Conceived That Around 700 Of Them Died As A Direct Result Of His Incompetence And Lack Of Leadership.
Of the dogs that actually survived Marc Chings incompetence, they did so only because two well run and caring organizations, The Humane Society International and the Soi dog foundation stepped in and rescue a majority of those poor suffering animals.
To actually understand the depths of how low this con artist could journey one needs to look no further than when he was questioned about the deaths of these 700 dogs in a telephone interview.
Ching admitted making a few mistakes with his Yulin rescue, but insisted that the number was closer to 500 and that he did not regret anything that happened because, after all ‘All of those dogs were supposed to die anyway’ and that my friends is a direct quote.
