I was employeed by Mark H Riches in OKC back in the early 90's. I read the posts from people who say he is wonderful and uplifting. Ummm unless he went through therapy or had a come to Jesus meeting (Probably involving a judge) he is nothing more than a snake oil salesmmen.
When I went to work for him as his "secretary". I spent my days typing endless threatening letters to individuals, businesses, and major corporations and being his Pit Bull and keeping all the bill collectors at bay. Even going so low as to LIE to his probation officer (yep he was on FEDERAL probation at the time)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On one occassion a supplier came to the office and sat in our waiting room for over 4 hours just wanting to discuss the money he OWED to them. What did he do? Hid in his office for over 4 hours trying to wait out the supplier. That's a real "stand up guy" don't ya think?? Not just 1 supplier, but MULTIPLE people. The computer IT guy, the printing company, EVEN his landlord (on the home he and Jennifer were renting) and silent investor!!!!!! It was crazy and total choas.
His wife was ALWAYS pregnant and could not find anyone to watch their 4 out of control children they had at the time, so she could some in the office and PAY SOME BILLS!!! He owed American Express over $6,000.00 that had been sent to collections. Of course the collector called the office EVERYDAY!!! He NEVER talked to them.
His business was reselling long distance back then on a commission only basis. It was called The Harvard Corportion. He went all over the country trying to recruit "salesmen" to resell long distance. Of course all the newpaper ads (internet was not around back then) he took out and the hotels he would use for his "recruiting" meetings would NEVER get paid!!!! Or the check would BOUNCE like a rubber ball.
He wrote so many hot checks that I finally got smart (after I paid the BOUNCE CHECK FEE---NO HE NEVER COVERED THAT) and I started taking my checks to HIS bank to see if they would clear. That paycheck was my means to an end and I can't count how MANY times he would ask me on payday, "Can I just give you $50.00 to make it through the weekend and Jennifer will come up here over the weekend to do payroll". Really?? I was the ONLY employee for a while.
DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN!!!! He is a liar, a cheat, and a thief and does it all while hiding behind the Mormon Church. Sad to say this man made me leery of anyone who mentions the Mormon faith. He will smile and look you in the eye KNOWING that he is LYING just to get you to pay the upfront fees. Go to dinner with him at a "real" restaurant, he will of conveniently "forgot" his wallet and he will get it next time. But "next time" never comes around.
Best thing I ever did was leave...............and try to straighten out my own financial mess he put me in. Then he took off to New Orleans for a while and I guess he landed in Tennessee! Good!!!!
