Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This "dealership"  was hired to replace two motor mounts, a transmission mount, both lower ball joints and install a camber kit and alignment.

Within one week the driver's side motor mount was loose and missing bolts, the passenger motor mount was cracked, the passenger side ball joint was damaged and my vehicle was still pulling to the left.  Even after having spent "Four Hours on the Alignement rack" according to Guy Mish, supposed Manager.

I was told by Guy Mish to take it in and get it diagnosed, since his shop is two hours from me.  I did and was told by several different shops including a major gmc buick dealership that the damage done to my car was due to poor workmanship.  When I heard this I immediately contacted Guy Mish and asked to be reimbursed for the diagnoses and to make arrangements to have my car repaired while I waited.  I sure as hell didn't want to leave my car with him for another five days only to have them screw something else up.  I was told that his mechanics couldn't install two motor mounts a ball joint and realign a car in one day.

I guess his mechanic is a novice, Mercedes Benz, Kelley Buick GMC and two other dealerships said they could and would, while I waited.

This company is a complete scam, they offer you a loaner car and when you drive somewhere in it, it dies.  I was then accused of driving the loaner vehicle while it overheated.  First off, they are a "repair facility"  why would they give me a piece of junk with 236000 miles on it knowing I lived two hours away? also, why doesn't the temperature gauge work in  their loaner vehicle, especially if they want you to keep an eye on it?

Let me start by saying no one personally drove this car with you.  I am Mr' Daniels and when I went to pick up my car, I didn't make it past the first light before I turned around and brought it back to you.  I immediately told you I heard rattling and you took the car with out anyone in it for a test drive.  You were gone 5-6 mintues came back and said you heard nothing.  I then got in the car put my foot on the brake pedal and showed you the rattle that was coming from the front end when ever you applied the brake or hit a bump.

I am only pointing this out because you mistated that you took Mr. Daniels for a test drive.  That is inacurate and I have a witness who stood beside me while you drove up the road, Alone.

As for your video, please upload it so we can all see it.  I am uploading the proof I recieved from Kelley Buick in Bartow and Tires Plus.

I will also upload all the emails from you telling me to take it in for an inspection.  Which I did under your instructions.

I have no idea why two different shops would state the exact same thing.

I do understand why a mgr of a shop would lie though....

Show your proof I'll show mine.  No I won't bring my car anywhere near your shop.  If you want we can arbitrate this case and if I lose I will gladly pay the fees.  On the other handle if you lose, you are paying for everything and reimbursing me for my time.

Would you upload this "video" you have of your mechanic working under my car?  It seems odd that you would have video cameras mounted in such a way that they face up from the ground.  Usually when you are working on ball joints, motor mounts and such you do this from below the car.  So, I would like to see these videos.

Once again, no steam came from under the hood that I or my maintenance person saw.  I wish you would stop trying to point fingers away from the actually issue.  You say your "mechanic"  did everything correctly AND you have video footage of his work.  Supply this video...

As for the loaner car, I can't prove it was a piece of s**t and you can't prove that I in some way didn't stop in time.  So let's bring the attention back to the problem.

I understand that you will defend your shop, this is why I am no longer going to play this he said she said crap with you.  You have a video upload it and show the world.  I also have pictures and documentation from Kelley Buick in Bartow and another independant shop in Lakeland, which I have already sent you.  Both state exactly the same thing.  Improperly installed parts and Poor Wokmanship.  Why would they lie?  Why you you lie?  Easy to save your reputation...

I am finished here.

It was exactly 4 and a half weeks since you left our facility and until we heard of this poor workmanship claim you are making. You raced cars for 20 years, so when a radiator cracks and steam is bellowing out from underneath hood, then you should know this is a clear sign of vehicle overheating. A LOANER CAR IS A PRIVLEDGE that you Mr. Daniels abused. As far as our loaner car having 200k miles on it, that is not important at all, again its a loaner car that was given to you to use strictly for going back to Lakeland like you had said. We were trying to save you the car rental fees.

I have reviewed the video of our technician installing your engine mounts and it clearly shows him removing them and installing them properly. Again, I dont have a crystal ball but I have worked with this particular technician for over 6 years and never once have had a workmanship problem or concern. I am not saying failure to a part could of happen, but AGAIN until I can examine the vehicle and the part the "failed" this is just a waste of time.

I have the video of technician installing parts, I have all the reciepts for the special order original equipment parts I ordered and paid for, I have the signed documentation from you, even shows how we made payment arrangements with you when you didnt have the agreed upon amount of money to pay us when you picked up the car! Good luck Mr. Daniels!

It wasn't five weeks after the repair.  It was three weeks after the repair that I contacted him.  Mainly because I hardly ever use this car for work that's probably why I didn't notice these issues.  Drove it less than 20 miles after the repair, except my 2 hour drive home.

I live two hour from the shop.  It's located in New Port Richie, I live in Bartow, which according to mapquest is exactl  76.25 miles away and with no traffic 1.27 hours to get there.  So I am about two hours away.

As for driving clear accross the state I drove from Bartow to Jupiter.  I will once again streesd that if the tempaerature gauge was working I would have noticed it was overheating.  I have raced cars proffessionally for more than 20 years, I pulled over the minute I realized something was wrong.  Maybe loaner cars shouldn't have 226,000 miles on them?

To sum this up.  I have three different, completely independent shops who all state the exact same thing.  "Poor workmanship".  "Improperly installed parts."

Who in the correct mind would take a vehicle back to get repairs re-done that were improperly done in the first place.  Give me a break.  We have already filed a small claims suit and will be going forward.  Now they'll owe much more than just the botched repairs.

i tried working with this shop but they want to point fingers about damages to their 226,000 mile loaner car.  Laugh out loud.

It saddens me that I have to take the time to even respond to this. My name is Guy Mish, I am the General Manager of Markal Motors. I have been helping clients in the Tampa Bay/New Port Richey area now for over 12 years. I take pride in assisting customers with their car repairs and I have got quite the following of clients that go out of there way to let me work on their cars.

This particular incident Mr. Aariq Daniels brought in his 1991 Mercedes for repairs that another shop had already suggested. These repairs required special order originial equipment parts. Mr. Daniels was well aware of the time to order the parts and the time to properly install these parts and that why we offered him a no charge loaner car to get back to his residence in Lakeland which is only a hour away from our facility. Mr. Daniels even stressed to us,  he didnt have the funds to pay for this entire repair for a few days and that we were to take our time doing the repairs. I was pleasently surprised to get a call from Mr. Daniels 2 days later on my cell phone saying he was stuck on the side of the highway and our loaner car was broke down. I was thinking this wasnt a big deal at all, I could call a tow truck and get our loaner car towed back to our shop, Lakeland is only an hour away. Well, come to find out Mr. Daniels abused our loaner car program and was clear across the state over 400 miles from our shop. I went ahead and paid for Mr. Daniels to have our car towed from the highway to a nearby gas station. I paid for all the expenses to get our car back to our shop. The average driver would of pulled off the side of the road when the car they were loaned started to overheat and steam (cracked radiator) no, Mr. Daniels continued to drive this car until he seized the engine and a connecting rod and bearing broke off. We would of never loaned one of our used cars out to a customer who was driving around the state in it. We were under the impression, as we were told by Mr. Daniels that he would just be going to his home in Lakeland.

As far as the repairs to Mr. Daniels 1991 Mercedes. Mr. Daniels called us about 5 weeks after picking up his vehicle and complained that his "muffler" was hitting the ground. I offered him to return here to Markal Motors and we would gladly inspect his car, he said he dint know if it was safe. I informed him at the point to bring it to a nearby shop and get it inspected then. I never authorized any money to be spent on inspection of Mr. Daniels car, I know many shop that offer free veicle inspections. Mr. Daniels then calls me up and begins his conversation by swearing to me, that is unacceltable and I told him to call back when he was calmer. He then sent me photos of the "Damaged" ball joint was nothing more then a mark left by the press of the ball joint. As far as loose bolts on a mount? I find this hard to believe that after 4-5 weeks of driving this vehicle hard, on the interstate across the state that all of a sudden now the new mounts were never tightened. I personally drived this car with Mr. Daniels after the repairs were finished and there WERE NO ISSUES AT ALL!!!! I did invite Mr. Daniels back to our shop so I can possible warranty out the broken mount, he declined. These parts were special ordered from Mercedes, I have all documentation to show this. I also informed Mr. Daniels that we sublet our alignments out, he was well aware of this.  We stand by our workmanship! We have never experienced a problem like this before and we would love the opportunity to inspect this car and possibly warranty out the broken mount if it is broken. There is no way possible to drive on interstate conditions and the kind of mileage that Mr. Daniels puts on his car that these mounts were left loose.  I do know from years of being in this industry that there are times where we do get brand new parts that have a defect, but until I am able to inspect this problem I cant rectify it. Mr. Daniels also needs several other repairs to this vehicle including rear axles, front struts and mounts and a leaking differential that he declined at this time.  Mr. Daniels we stand by our workamnship and our OE parts we installed on your car. Please call us at 727-843-8888 to schedule an appointment to get this problem solved for you!
