On 10/28/05 I ordered three bottles of Oxycontin 20MG tablets from MDZone.org.

Per their instructions as to how to pay for the medicine; I faxed a check to them for $114.95; fax # 702-549-2372.

On 11/08/05 I received a floppy disc from MDZone, P. O. Box 2317, Wilmington, CA 90748; (another known address is 1405 S. Nellis Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89104).

The floppy disc had a questionnair to fill out and a place in Australia to mail it to. My name, invoice number, and order wasn't anywhere on the questionnaire. So, I included my personal info on the questonnaire and I mailed the questionnaire (registerd) on 11/09/05 to Australia.

I did not receive my three bottles of medicine from MDZone's European Drug Manufacturor Purdue-Frederick as promised. So I filled out the questionnaire on the floppy disc and I included all my information I thought was relevant to get my medicine 11/09/05. I am awaiting a response from Australia.

On the floppy disc it said I would receive a response back with in a timely manner. My orginal order stated to give MDZone five business days, and all I receive from them is the floppy disc with instructions to mail a questionnaire to Austrailia??? The post office told me that it would take 7-10 days for my order to even reach Austrailia.

I have tried and tried to get in touch w/ MDZone.org through their e-mail address [email protected] and I have not received an answer.

Thanks for catching that Robert. I typo'd it and didn't realize it. Oxycontin is schedule 2, you are correct. Lortab 10 is what I'm presently taking, as it is cheaper than Oxy and I no longer have insurance. I'm paying just shy of 90 bucks for 180 a month. I've never seen them online for cheaper than that. The person who did the rebuttal that said to buy them online I feel is mistaken. From what I've seen of online pharmacies, they will charge you a fortune for their own doc to write a script for what you want, then charge as much as your local pharmacy, if not more, for the meds. Given the way so many of online pharmacies are rip offs, I would never consider using one. I will stick with a local Osteopath who will give me a cash office visit price, which is much cheaper than an online doc and use a local pharmacy, so I'm assured I will always have my meds. I'm a pain patient, I have to be on pain meds 24/7 and if I was taken advantage of, I would go into an unplanned detox .. not fun!

I too was in dire need for another avenue to obtain pain medication for a severe back injury. If you have a legitimate need and and are able to document it (this is not difficult for those that do), I have found YourPainManagement.com to be very reliable. You will first need to fax them your medical records which must then then be followed by a phone consult with an MD. While you cannot obtain oxycontin via the mail anywhere, you can get Lortab (brand or generic) if you can show a legitimate and previously documented need. Hope this helps someone as much as me.

To the above rebuttal from Lorraine. OxyContin is a Schedule II drug, not Schedule III.

You can't get Oxycontin via the mail

#6Consumer Suggestion

Hi Janet. Oxycontin requires a triplicate script from your doctor before you can get it. It is illegal for it to be sent via the mail to anyone. This is true of all the long half life, schedule 3, narcotic pain meds. It's very hard to find a doctor to just give you Oxycontin. If you are well established with your doctor, then there is a good chance he would prescribe it to you for your back pain, but don't expect to walk in off the street and get it first visit from a doctor. They look at someone who does that as a drug seeker or drug addict. 20 mg is a lower dose of oxy, which tells me your pain is medium to severe, but not chronic. Why don't you visit and establish yourself with a doctor in your town. He could start you on something like Lortab 10's which are 10 mg hydrocodone and 500 mg APAP (Tylenol) and taking one of those every 4 hours would give you the same relief an Oxycontin 20 mg would. Doctors are more apt to give out short life opiate meds at first, then later once they see you have intractable pain, they will move you up to the long half life ones. The main reason my doc wants me back on Oxy instead of Lortab 10's is he worries about the damage all the Tylenol is doing to my liver. I don't have insurance right now though, so paying $500 a month for 60, Oxy 80 mg. is out of the question. As you can see by the price I said above, Oxy is very expensive. The price this company quoted you was so low it's laughable. I'm sorry you didn't realize how much Oxy really costs or you would have known they were not for real before they charged your credit card. Please go to your bank right away and have them get your money back for you. You only have 60 days from the day it was charged, so don't waste any time please.

Contacted Purdue-Frederic, and P.D.M. in Australia

#7Author of original report

I received e-mails from both companies and they both wrote me back saying that MDZone.org was not affiliated w/ them whatsoever. Purdue-Frederick; I sent their pictures, via of e-mails to show them that MDZone.org was using their product as advertisement. I was written back being assurred that their security and medical dept.would be made aware of it, and said that someone would be contacting me. And...P.D.M. Direct, in Australia wrote me e-mail's stating that they do not do business w/ MDZone.org and I would not be getting my medicine. NOTE I sent the bogus 15-23 pages to Australia that cost me $15-18 to registered mail it. I did send the contents of the floppy disc, so that the Australian pharmacy could see that MDZone.org is using their name, address, and country for advertisement. I will enclose what both company's said. REPLIES TO ME INCLUDE BOTH COMPANIES, SEE 1) AND 2): 1) P.D.M. Direct in Australia said : Hello, Pharmacy Direct is not affiliated with MDZone in any way and we do not send prescription items unless we are provided with a current Australian Prescription, written by a doctor registered in New South Wales Australia. We do not have an order for you and will not be sending an order. Kind regards Jenny Me: I will also include their web site as well and it is pharmacy@pharmacy direct.comau (Australian)I originally said in the e-mail to Australia: I will insert the contents from the floppy disc and insert it now w/ your name, address, country, etc. I hope that you can do something about it for it being frauduliant advertisement. MDZone.org did refer me to your company, and sent me a floppy disc w/ directions to send a questionnaire to Australia. Their address is P.D.M. Direct, 3 Coal Street, Silverwater, NSW 2128 Australia. I looked up their address via internet and it plainly states that you'd have to have a doctor's prescription to receive oxycontin20mg tablets. So, I informed them as well. 2) Fredrick-Purdue Said: Dear Madam, Thank you for your email. I have forwarded your inquiry to our Corporate Security and Medical Services departments. Someone should contact you in the future. Regards, James Heins Senior Director Public Affairs Purdue Pharma LP James Heins Director, Public Affairs Purdue Pharma L.P. One Stamford Forum Stamford, CT 06901 Tel: 203-588-8069 Fax: 203-588-6223 [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: To: Heins, James CC: Bannon, Timothy Sent: Tue Nov 22 17:25:12 2005 Subject: ordered oxycontin20mg tablets from MDZone.org I Said: I ordered oxycontin20mg tablets on 10/28/05 from MDZone.org and they have in their ad your name and say that the medicine will be shipped from Purdue-Fredrick sealed. I KNOW I have been ripped off. I want to include the portion where it says your name in their order form. (I Did) I have 3 ruptured disc and a lumbar disease and I am in chronic pain is the reason for me ordering this medicine. I wrote both company's and ask them to please write me back in regards to them using your Company's name (Purdue-Fredrick) and (P.D.M. Direct in Australia) in their ad to rip people off. The MDZone.org has already taken money out of my account for the pills, and I didn't get anything in return except a floppy disc directing me to Australia. Just a Note TO ALL OTHER PEOPLE MDZONE.ORG IS A BIG TIME RIPOFF and also NOTE that MDZone.org (uses all three e-mails I have listed here)MDZone.org, [email protected], and [email protected].
