I love how all you Melalueca advocates are quick to defend the Melaleuca name. You know if I did something like that at my job and mislead customers I would be written up and fired. You say it's not Melaleuca's fault and yet the company continues to lets it's "customers" advertise as they please with no repercussions... The company knows that these "Teams" have ads and probably gives them some ideas on how to make them and what to say to get people into this...
Bottom line just tell the truth... You "sell" yes "sell" a business idea. Just because you don't physically sell a product doesn't mean your're not sales people. Wiki search the word "Sale". Or are you just "believeing" what your "Team" tells you....? If there was no product this would be illegal... The whole point of the presentation is that because you the "customer" uses the products and you like them so much that you tell (sell) people about it. You say you make money off of refferals... No you don't.. you get comission because your downlines buy a certain amount of pts worth of product every month... You rely on them purchasing every month in order to receive a check in the mail.... you could probably care less or don't even know that these products are not all natural... since when is "Phenoxyethanol" a natural ingredient... what a joke....

I just have to say that you did not understand what it is you read in the paper, what it is you saw & heard, or how the company works! The ad you read in the paper may have been decieving, but that is not Melaleuca's fault. They don't do the advertising for their own company... that is what the representatives are for (which is what you become when you sign up)! So, you are basically being paid to advertise the company & expand Melaleuca's customer base! It's a referral program! Another point to make is, their are several teams that represent Melaleuca! It is up to your team to train you & be your support network, not Melaleuca either! Melaleuca can only provide you support when you are enrolling a new member, ordering products, or have questions about the products. Your team is suppose to be there for anything else! I have been a Melaleuca Marketing Executive since August of 2008! I have not lied to anyone that I have signed up & I don't place mis-leading ads either like the one you came across! I provide training & support to all my team members as well. I am apart of the FourPointGroup team! Since August I have achieved Director III status, & am on the road to advancing again this month! As far as the doubling up of the order... that is optional! If you choose to go from 35 points to 70 points, your commission is doubled from 7% to 14%! But like I said, its optional because I am Director III & I chose not to increase my points! & another thing, what were you buying that leaves you all with boxes of products or such high totals? I mean, I can get 35 points of products in my shower alone & those are products that need to be reordered every month like shampoo, conditioner, soap, tooth paste, etc. Last month my total was $60.88 & that was after tax, S&H, etc. They have 23-years of positive feedback from the BBB, won blue-chip enterprise awards, & have lots more credentials!!! Don't let these people lie to you!!!

I do not understand why you would be against being a customer yourself. You must know what the product does and how it works for you so you have a something to tell you potential customers. It is normal in a selling business. I must tell you that by trying the products out myself i can honestly tell my customers what i think is a great product. If they ask for my opinion on an item i do not use then i tell them the truth... i simply do not know because i have not tried it, and i tell you more i recomend that in your future business venture you try all the products you can get your hands on, because when you start to speak to others about the company the excitment will be noticed in your voice. You will have "love" and "apreciation" for the company you represent. I love Melaleuca, i have found it to be my calling. Not only am i a mom who loves her job. i work as much as i want. I do not work from home but i do not miss an important event in my family's life because of my "JOB" i make my schedule. I love to meet the people and i do not pass on the teaching of "work from home". sometimes i do when i am folowing up on customers and business partners that are already with my team, but to reach out to new potential customers i love the face to face aproach.. Anyway you fear to be scammed too much, and because of this you are missing out on a great business. I recomend you see what your passion is and what business you would have liked to own in your life, then see how much time and money you will need to invest to set your business in motion. Once you realize that a $29 menbership fee (sometimes $1) and a mear $60-$70 dollars a month (on items you would probably spend more than that at a retail store per month) is nothing, compared to opening up your own business you will have a great "eye-opening experience". Take a chance. Maybe Melaleuca did not seem like the right company for you. i encourage you to seek out "herbalife, mona-vie or any other leading retail marketing company" you will see that they require a much bigger commitment. As for the ad, well..... the people did wrong. i agree it would be mis-leading, but so is many other ads out there. regardless once you did repond they were thruthfull with what they were about. Do not blame the whole for actions of the few. Good luck in your ventures. I know i love getting my Melaleuca checks every month. :) Ana

Melaleuca is a very reputable company. I have not been hurt by this company. I am very proud to represent them. Their mission is to enhance lives. Take more time to research this company, truly research them and you will know. Melaleuca has helped thousands of people not only with healthier products but also financial. It is up to the individual how they run their own business and how successful they are with it. This opportunity is 100% risk free. I understand that you are skeptical as there are many opportunities out there that are scams. Rest assured Melaleuca in not a scam.

This is not Melaleucas fault! They do not run ads. Individuals run the ads. Melaleuca has never run an ad in 23 years. It is up to each individual how to bring in the customer/business buiilder.
