Before you purchase any purebred canine, you should request references from the kennel, see both parents and verify that they are both AKC dogs (if that is what you are looking for). If the dog you purchased was sold as a purebred and that is what your paperwork states, you need to contact the AKC and report the kennel and the breeder, contact the District Attorney's office in the county where the kennel is located and file a report. You might also contact animal control where the breeder is located and where the kennel is located. Request that they investigate the conditions of the dogs being kept in both places. As far as the dog's nails, you should have checked the dog over before you took it home. That would have told you that the kennel wasn't what you thought it was.
