I assume that you have all of the paperwork you received when you traded in your car and that the paperwork shows that this dealership would pay off your trade? If so, contact your District Attorney's office and advise them what has happened. As them if you can file charges through them or if it needs to be done in a civil court. CC all information to the Attorney General's office. If the negative information on the reposession is showing up on your credit reports, you need to contact the credit bureaus and advise them that you are disputing the repo in your name because the dealership who took your trade was to have paid it off and advise them you have complained to the DA and the AG.
