Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
About a year or two ago we had the worst sales experience ever with this company. We are a sheet metal shop and were interested in MFG.com because they connect you with customers that need estimates for custom parts. Customers sign up with MFG, submit their prints, and manufacturing companies pay to access those RFQ's and submit their estimates.

After submitting our information on their website, we were contacted by an MFG sales rep called Jeff Mayo. He offered a trial period where we could view some of the RFQ's in mfg.com. After the trial period, we decided this wasn't for us because of two reasons. 1. the service was overpriced, about $500 per month and 2. we realized that the customers in MFG were not ideal clients because they search many companies for the lowest possible prices instead of building relationships, basically no loyal customers. Also, we couldn't compete with so many other companies providing rock-bottom estimates.

We politely told Jeff Mayo we were not interested, and that is when the relationship turned sour. He called us various times offering us discounts and trying to sell us, and every time I or somebody else here turned him down, he would get very rude and sarcastic, make snide remarks and he would hang up on us mid-sentence. In total he must have hung up on us 4 times throughout his calls. Then he would continue to call back and pester us.

I finally had to call mfg.com customer service myself and tell them we didn't want to hear from Jeff Mayo or anybody else from this company ever again. They honored our request and we haven't heard from him since.

@ Anonymous  Im the PR director at MFG.com and, first, Id like to apologize if anyone on staff offended you. Our aim short of effecting win-win relationships is to respect anyones decision not to participate in the online marketplace that MFG.com has enabled.

Second, theres so much more to the online sourcing marketplace than just price. Weve connected hundreds of thousands of buyers and suppliers over the past decade, enabling them to efficiently discover one another, collaborate, source and perform due diligence with transparency and intellectual property protection.
