Real estate investors, home owners, BEWARE of Michael Pearcy with Infinite Wood Concepts, llc is a true con-artist working as a contractor. You are being warned now. The fact that this so-called professional arrived in a broke down raggedy truck with no company logo should have been the first sign of what was to come. This contractor was hired off of Craigslist to do work on a single family investment home prior to being put up for sale. This contractor bragged about the fact that he used to be in the Military and that because of that background he would be the man for the job.
He told us a sob story of how he had broken his neck and was now back to work, trying to get back on his feet, blah, blah, blah. All of this just a part of his scam to make you feel sorry for this "hard working Military vet" to hire him for the job. From the very beginning we were very clear about exactly what work we needed him to do and the deadlines to have everything completed. He was hired at the end of September. He assured us that he would have everything we needed him to have completed done by Nov. 1. That deadline came and went. He pushed the deadline back to Nov. 15. Again he missed the deadline. Then the end of November, and he missed that deadline.
From the time we started working with this con-artist, he gave us every excuse as to why he was behind schedule. First he stated that he was bitten by a spider. Then he got into a car crash. Then he claimed that he was jumped in the parking lot of Walmart. He never showed up at the property on the days that he told us he would be there working, and if he did show up, it was never at the agreed upon time, and he always left early. To make matters worse we were paying him regularly when in this area, most contractors are paid anywhere from 14-30 days out after submitting an invoice. We were paying him almost every week, meeting our obligation, but he was not holding up his end of the bargain and completing the work. Some of the work that he completed we found out later wasn't completed correctly or was a half job. When we told him to go back to fix certain things that he didn't do right the first time it wouldn't happen.
We found out that this con-artist was actually spending time filming himself in the house to post videos on his Facebook page like he wanted to be the next HGTV DIY reality TV star. This time should have been spent working on the house, but he was spending time posting these videos. You can go to his Facebook page to see what we mean.
We told this con-artist that we needed him to complete the house so that the realtor could begin posting photos and placing the property on the MLS. Again he missed the deadline so when the photographer arrived the house wasn't ready in certain areas and even now on the MLS you can see dirty floors in some of the pics and places where painting was not done correctly.
The point is, Michael Pearcy of Infinite Wood Concepts is not professional and you should NEVER hire him for any job.
