Midas, 14965 Snow Road, Brookpark, OH 44142, refuses to honor 12-month warranty on defective part and/or defective installation, and reimburse me for having to have it replaced after it broke in 4 months. In 4/2014, Midas, 14965 Snow Road, Brookpark, OH, installed a control arm on my vehicle for $180. On 8/3/2014, the control arm broke, stranding me 60 miles away from home and in Niles, OH. I took the car to a Midas location in Niles, OH, 5999 Youngstown Warren Road, and they would not honor the 12-month warranty on the part, even though I had all the paperwork from the Midas in Brookpark, OH, which they copied. I called the Midas at the 14965 Brookpark location and explained the situation to him. He told me there was nothing he could do if I could not get the car to him. I asked him if he would pay for a tow and he refused. He told me to take the car to a "different" Midas, which was 1/2 hour away. I asked him if they would pay for a tow and he told me to call them to find out, which I did and they, too, refused. I ended up again paying $96.06 to replace the defective part installed by Midas, 14965 Snow Road, Brookpark, OH. Again, I called and asked Terry if he would honor the 12-month warranty and replace the $96.06 and he refused. Then he told me he would provide a free wheel alignment. Once the car arrived, he refused to do a wheel alignment because he said that the rod was bent and there was a power steering leak and he would not put his men in such a vehicle. The same issues were noted by Midas on 4/2014 in an estimate they gave me to fix the problems. However, they still installed a control arm with a bent rod and a power steering leak and they took my money, too, gave me a 12-month warranty and are now refusing to honor it. There were/are absolutely NO contingencies on their paperwork concerning the 12-month warranty.
