I was sorry to hear about your experience at our shop. We work very hard to make sure every customer leaves happy with the job done right. At Midas, we have been performing exhaust repair for 53 years. Based on our experience, bending back a pipe is not the best long term solution for any exhaust system. When you attempt to bend back a pipe that is already damaged, you tend to weaken the pipe at the damaged area. Additionally, the constant heating and cooling of the pipe from normal driving can further weaken it at the damaged area. The result of both of these actions will be the pipe breaking prematurely. I hope this won't be result in your case, but is possible you just paid $148.00 for a pipe repair that may not last. If it doesn't, you may then need to be replaced pipe at an additional cost of $350.00. If you would like discuss the issue in further detail, please call the shop and ask for Rick.

It is very hard to repair a bent pipe, and usually costs more to do so rather than to replace it, or the repair is not perfect and tends to choke off the exhaust coming from your engine, possibly causing other problems. How do you know they fixed it? Did you see it before and after? I'm not trying to say Midas wasn't taking you for a ride, I just want to make sure that your car was repaired properly. Sometimes the cheap fix is not the best. If it worked, then great. Cheers.
