Editor’s Comment: 05/24/2017 -. Ripoff Report believes in transparency and the more information the better. In this instance, there has been court action regarding this subject Report. We believe it important to note that not all Court Orders are alike. Many court orders are absolutely legitimate and we make no representations about this court order situation. However, we want our users to be aware that sometimes courts enter orders based upon default which typically means that the defendant didn’t show up. Sometimes a defendant won’t show up because they didn’t even get notice of the case proceedings in the first place and other times defendants may not show up because they don’t necessarily have the knowledge and/or the financial resources to fight. Still, in other instances, a defendant may simply appear only to stipulate (settle) the case by agreeing to stipulate to a court order because they are being bullied by the plaintiff and whether what they said was true or not, they just want the matter to go away so they can move on with life and make the plaintiff go away. Middlegate Funding is such a rip off and I wouldn't suggest anyone go through them because of the pain, harassing you and your broker and saying that I am a thief for borrowing money. They are not registered with BBB and am going to take action with the FTC. They act all nice and sincere when you first call them, then the moment they wire you the money for a transaction they start changing there ways and treat you like crap. Middlegate Funding owners are Ashkey Joffrey and a person named Michael Joffrey, they act like they have 50 people working for them but in all honesty it's just them 2. They will have you convinced of an interest rate and then all of a sudden after receiving the money they will charge you more interest then indicated. Remember people are borrowing money for a reason, because of numerous financial reasons, so they know you don't have the power to go after them. If you start negotiating a settlement they will say yes but then say now you owe me more for all other fees they make up. Bunch of scam artists and they claim they work with numerous real estate companies but in reality they have no one! We would love to have more complaints to file a class action lawsuit against them and get other stories from those that borrowed money from them at one pint or another or been through other horrible situations with Middlegate Funding.

After a year dealing with Middlegate Funding we have changed our mind and would like to retract the negative statements we made about Middlegate Funding and would recommend only those that really need to borrow from your commissions to think about it twice so you can save the interest in the short period of time. Middlegate Funding and I have settled an agrement and want to put this behind us.

Please take notice that Middlegate Funding, LLC (“Plaintiff”) has initiated an action in the Superior Court for the State of California for the County of San Bernardino (# CIVDS1609750) due to allegedly false and disparaging statements published about Plaintiff on numerous websites, including by “Anonymous” in this posting on Ripoff Report. In the Action, Plaintiff seeks to subpoena the records of Xcentric Ventures, LLC (the company that owns and operates this website) to confirm the identity of “Anonymous.” Plaintiff has served a subpoena on Xcentric Ventures, LLC to reveal the identity of “Anonymous.” You may have a right to file and serve a response to the subpoena anonymously.
