After going to the "2nd round interview", I came home and talked to my mother and boyfriend about everything I'd been told throughout the day about this company who is now, also using charities such as Operation Smile, and Toys for Tots. Half way through the day I was beginning to feel that this all seemed a little pyramid-ish. So upon returning home from my 12 hour day of NO PAY, I googled Midwest Marketing Concepts and found all of this. I was hired during the final interview as an events coordinator. So I was told to be back Wednesday morning at 8am. In essence, I'd be setting up these things at business for these people to go sell this crap. You see, I was made to think this was a management position, and instead I was sent to a 7-11 all day "fundraising" for Operation Smile. I wonder if these people would still be willing to donate if they knew only 15% of the proceeds was going towards these charities. This is ridiculous. I took a day off from my actual legitimate job, which I now run the risk of being let go from, because I thought this was a for real gig. Let me tell ya, scamming is their game, and they are d**n good at it.
