Before I had started here at my company another person in my postition took a phone call from Modern Distributing Services. She was asked our copier make and model and was told that the price of our ink was going up and they would be supplying it still at the lower price. She then recieved a box from USPS and signed for it before asking who it was from and we were invoiced for a ridicouslous amount of money for this ink. This was in Early January of 2012. They then called again in January of 2013 hoping to run the scam on a new victim but I had luckily been a loss prevention manager before this "Desk job" and knew what this ploy was all about. I was able to get two names of people who worked there. An Ed Cohen and a Nikki Davis, although I am sure there are hundreds more. The first call from Mr. Ed Cohen was on the 11/20/2013 around 10 am in the morning and he was yelling at me to send their product back to them and that he needed our fax number so he could send us the label for the box. I told him that there was no way I was going to send him anything and to please stop calling. He then proceeded to get very enraged with me and began yelling that he was going to put our bill into collections and that I was outrageous for not paying him or giving the product back. I just kept calmly replying thats okay and eventually hung up on him. He then proceeded to call back three more times and I just hung up the phone without answering. The next phone call has just happenbd this morning at 11/26/2013 at 10:30 am with Nikki Davis. She avoided my line altogether and called another person in my office after they did not answer she came back to my line. She kept asking for the person she had originially tried and I said I kept repeating that I couldn't tell her when that person would be back and that if she wanted to leave a messgae she could. She gave me her and name and said she was from Modern Distributing Systems and that since my colleague already had her number to please have him give her a call back. I informed her that he would not be calling her back and to give it up already and stop wasting our time. She then remarked that I was so rude to her and didn't understand why. I informed that I have filed a cmplaint with the FCC (13-T01302851) and just want her to stop calling me. She then started scremaing that she had spoken with my boss and that I should talk to him. Which she conintually kept repeating like an annoying teenager until I just hung up on her. She then called back again directly afterward and I told her again that I had filed a complaint and to have a great day. This is still ongoing and I hope by this story that people will be aware of their fradulent crime war path.
