So 2 months ago, I hired Patrick to change out my rack and pinion which was leaking power steering fluid every 250 miles. He took the car saying he has a place to work on cars and I got it back 3 days later when he "fixed" it. The next day, my steering wheel was not correct and would move freely before it would start to move the car. He came and picked it up again saying the rack and pinion was bad and the next day it was "fixed" again and I had my car back. 5 days later, I ran out of power steering fluid again. He came by after 5 days of my car sitting parked (I use my car for my business) and looked at the car and told me there is no leak. He said to put cardboard from tire to tire to see where it was leaking. I figured he just didn't put fluid in when he had it last so I put fluid in and drove for 5 days or 250 miles. On the 5th day after I filled it with fluid, I had no fluid once again, so I called him back. After arguing with him to get him to show up for over 2 hours, he did not even look under the car but decided that my power steering fluid was going into my oil reservoir. He also said I needed a new master cylinder because I'm losing brake fluid (barely any fluid is gone). I called another mechanic to come look at the car. He took his time checking everything Patrick had said that was wrong, couldn't find anything, and then crawled under the car and found the rack and pinion leaking. I informed Patrick of this (even sent him a picture of the defective part) and that is when he told me that he sublet the work to a buddy of his and the guy he sublet it to (Pro Axle - guy named Jay - I wouldn't go here either) would have to look at it before they give me my money back for the defective part. He is refusing to honor the work he had told me he did when in fact, he didn't do it! All I asked for was the cost of the part which is $200. I do not want him or his friend near my car again so I am out $600 ($400 labor cost) and want the world to know to NEVER use this guy!
