Despite being unable to provide proof of debt, and being notified as such in writing, Monterey started to report the fictious debt as being a collection account. They reported it under the name of their client, PREMIER HOLIDAY TRAVEL, but the reporting agency indicates they are the reporting subscriber. In any event, since this is a violation of the law I have asked my US lawyer to take action and assuming they have a valid contract with Premier Holiday Travel, have asked my Mexican lawyer to take action in Mexico. Apparently in Mexico you go to prison for this and can't hide behind a corporate entity. Too bad that doesn't happen in the US.
