I think you are blowing alot out of proportion or just making this up. You are probably a racist and the desk clerk read you as such. If things happened the way you stated I would have waited around and talked to the management in person. The heck with this phone call stuff. The man with the dog was probably a friend of the desk clerk hanging around to make sure she was okay or maybe a security person. Sounds like they had a great deal of fun with you. Please inform us all of the docket number for the court case.

Lousiana Keel, if you don't have an ulterior motive for blasting abused travelers, you're displaying a certain level of naivety - how old are you? Do you travel much? What are you doing cruising a travel consumer complaint site? You talk like a kid who's either never left the bayou or is a retread '60's peacenik with flowers in his hair. === In this case the lady was attacked by a dog, insulted, discriminated against and overall treated poorly all before she even checked in. The normal person would want to know why you would stay in a hotel that treated you that way.=== Is there a slight glimmer of intellect deeeeeep within the heart of you that can detect a hint of how totally, totally outrageous this is?!?!? Well anyway sir, I beg to differ with you: the normal person would want to know what in the hell a company (Accor) was doing allowing one of their franchisees (Motel 6) to have this reckless desk clerk be rapping with his buddy while he's holding a vicious pit bull in the lobby of this supposedly house of hospitality while he's supposed to be greeting people with a smile - not fangs, and take their reservations. I hope L.A. Kathey does pursue this matter and does sue the buzzards like I did; if enough of us get together, Accor/Motel 6 will get serious about Guest Relations; and as for you sir, take the flowers out of your hair, smell the roses and get off the backs of vacationers who just want to do the same.

d**k, instead of insulting everyone and thinking we're part of an Accor Hit Squad why don't you look at what everyone posted. We all asked "why would you stay?", how is that being a hit squad? Look at your case d**k: You stayed in a room that you felt you paid to much, the manager and desk staff didn't agree and you filed reports all over the place. In this case the lady was attacked by a dog, insulted, discriminated against and overall treated poorly all before she even checked in. The normal person would want to know why you would stay in a hotel that treated you that way. As far as being an Accor Employee, try again. I am not affiliated with motel 6, accor or any of their brands. Now go and work on defending your own lawsuit.

Ah yes, Houston Margaret, Beverley Hills Tallulah, San Antonio Tom & Lousiana Keel, the same fearsome foursome who attacked me; don't sweat them, Kathey, you've got a legitimate complaint and I hope you pursue it beyond just posting here. They and a few other regulars will come out against anyone who has a complaint against Accor. If the roof fell in on you in your room, they'd call you an idiot and tell you you shouldn't have been in bed at the time. Accor has hundreds of furious guests buzzing around like angry hornets which is all so unnecessary. If they would take Guest Relations beyond sending out a form letter (I got 6), like having the manager apologize and give out a chit for a complimentary stay, the furor would die down overnight. Having a hit crew to discredit disgruntled guests is so - French.

Why didn't you simply LEAVE the moment after the dog lunged at you and you realized that perhaps this was a less than savory place to stay? You wouldn't seriously consider staying at such a place for 8-10 weeks now, would you? Also why did you remain in the area, instigating a confrontation with these people? The mature, appropriate thing to do would have been to LEAVE, find a hotel elsewhere, and let everyone go about their lives.

I understand that you wanted inexpensive lodgings, but if the motel was as bad as you described and your treatment by its staff was that rude, why would you put yourself and your mother in such a situation? I am hoping you left out the part of your story in which you packed up and left the next day. I certainly would not have given such a place my business nor put my or my family's safety in jeopardy.

Why would you stay after you were attacked by a dog, insulted and discriminated against, treated rudely, given poor service by the manager and desk staff as well as Motel 6 corporate, not to mention the smell and looks of the hotel that you described? I'm sure there were other hotels near the hospital that you needed to be at. Have you tried calling the manager back or going down to the desk to talk to him/her?

You should have left and found a Motel 8. At least there you would have got a hot free breakfast every morning!!
