Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My boy was born and raised in Canada and got good grades. His dream was to attend the University of Waterloo but unfortunately got rejected, and had to go to another school in Ontario. His friend went to Waterloo and complained about the number of immigrants at the school, and how they help each other cheat and give themselves an unfair advantage over Canadians.

Unfortunately, I have seen this at my workplace where some even speak their native language, but I did not expect it to take place at such a reputable institution like the University of Waterloo and/or the Institute for Computing. Another website says that a Waterloo professor named Robert Koenig who is here on a temporary work permit has brought in his lover apparently from Poland at the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo. These immigrants are apparently exploiting our government and taking away the opportunity of Canadians.

At the expense of Canadians, it appears that Prof. Robert Koenig at the Institute for Quantum Computing engaged in a conflict of interest by giving his lover from Poland a visiting scholar opportunity, and taking that opportunity away from a Canadian. The University of Waterloo needs to hold a higher standard for its workers.

As a parent whose kid was turned away from the university, I want an explanation of why immigrants are being treated with an unfair advantage over citizens. One would think that a sexual relationship between a preceptor and academic scholar is entirely inappropriate, and that the unnecessary import of researchers who do not benefit the Canadian students is in fact detrimental to Canada altogether.

I understand that there are many Canadians with masters and doctorate degrees in Canada that cannot get work in the academic field; yet there are people like Prof./Mr. Koenig who come to Canada, take away opportunities from Canadians and even the Canadians with merit.

I think that as taxpayers we have a right to demand that the Government explains why they allow this. The Blackberry company is Canadian and has given substantial monies to Waterloo for the benefit of Canadians and the Canadian economy. I don't understand why someone from Poland was able to come here under false pretense of research for Canada (when in fact she just wanted a free trip to Canada at our expense) while many Canadians are jobless and have lost their jobs at Blackberry during the same time Prof. Koenig's friend from Europe came here.

Therefore, on behalf of all Canadians and parents in Ontario, I demand the Government of Ontario explains itself to us and to Industry Canada (which I pay for by way of my tax dollars). I am also interested to see why immigration officials have allowed this harm upon us.
