MerchantInc.com false claims, lies, takes advantage of clients

It is 100% true that Merchantinc.com (Merchant Inc) is a complete and utter scam, perhaps the most expensive scam I have ever fallen for. They have easily taken over $1000 in less than a year, for a service that advertises $7.95 a month on the front page of their website. Also, they advertised "Cancel anytime without penalty", yet when I closed/canceled my account, they took $350 from my bank account by direct withdrawal (ACH). They knew what they were doing, because by taking the money from the bank account directly instead of by my bank card, they were able to prevent a chargeback. I told my bank I did not authorize the charge and they denied my claim, also saying I did provide authorization. So clearly, the "cancel anytime without penalty" is an outright bold faced lie.

My monthly statement was supposed to be $6.95 + $1.00 (a total of $7.95) plus whatever credit card fees I accumulate from sales. My actual monthly bill was somewhere around $35 to $75. It should be noted that I only ever made $120 in sales over the months I used their service, so the bills being this high were not the result of sales commissions. The company had my credit card and bank account information, yet they still sent me a paper bill every month, usually dated weeks before the actual postmark date. So by the time I would get the bill, they would have tacked on another $30 for a late payment. I swear up and down, everytime I got something related to this, the paper would be dated almost a month in advance of the postmark. This would include bills and notices. The least I ever paid in a single month was $30.

Going back to when I canceled the account, I had called to verify that I wouldn't be charged a cancelation fee. There was no cancelation fee, and all I had to do was pay the remainder of my balance. Again, this was a bold faced lie.

To make matters even more insane, I recently found out I am still being billed $29.95 a month by authorize.net, almost a year after I canceled. I'm not sure why they charged me $350 if they were still going to be sending me bills from elsewhere. This needs to be handled by a lawyer who can gather customers who were sold these products through merchantinc.com so we can get our money back, at the very least the $350 cancelation fee and any fees related to merchant inc once the account cancelation fee was actually paid.

We found nothing bad about merchant inc when we looked them up in june 2012. In fact, we found very little at all. Just the promises on their website, which is why we did business with them. For something that was supposed to be $8 a month, how did I end up losing over $1000 in the course of a few months? Now when you google merchant inc, you will find a ridiculous number of people who are going through the exact same thing as us. Please, I would hope there is a lawyer who can help us with this company.

no, there is not a mistake you know that we are talking about the same company. not only that. i'm sure that this story sounds familiar to you this kind of representative that work for your company have the same ethic and line of work and use same dishonest treatment to others but not everyone has the time or energy to do what i'm doing right now.but I'm sure that they complain to your company but you are not  going to admit it. it is obvios. also people are not stupid there is not only the name of your company that they are writting about but the adress and phone number like i did here.

when someone do the research check for everything even the little things that's the point of the researching.and mostly when their has been abuse by your reps.i lern that now.

also you can not use other people's company name to work under their name beacause you can be sue i have a company and  when i chosed the name i had to make sure that this name is not being use or own by another company because it is ilegal. and they were not going to allow me to open the corporation.a 4 year old knows that information.

Merchant Services is a known name for this type of industry, when a name search is done, our company is the first Merchant Services to show up.  We are often mistaken for other processing companies.  There are over a hundred companies listed with the same name.  Unfortunately, without providing any information, we cannot directly respond to your particular case.

it is obvious that you work for this company and you have to make me look stupid by not providing my personal information or account number. i know that i make a mistake by not reading before signing the contract but like i said before this person tony (peter) rodriguez he managed with his conversation and dishonest ability to make me trust him and think he was a decent person. also this was my first experience with this type of credit card company i was opening a business for the first time.i know that there is nothing i can do now with your company but to pay the penalty and finish this disgusting and abusing contract. that is something that i'm contemplating.but at leat if i can help other people no to do this mistake or suffer the consecuences of doing business with a dishonest people who has no morals i would do it.

i know that i'm not alone i did my research on line. late for me. but i find out that there is a lot of more people that are suffering the same consecuences that i went througth.they are complaining about your representatives and how nasty they are once you sign a contract with a very small letters difficult even see the small hidden fees.

also i never recieved fom tony a copy of my contract he desappear and i have to requested from your company. they sent a very dark one with a small letters very diificult to read.

the last thing I'm going to tell you is that sooner or later somebody from your company is going to make a huge mistake and all this is going to expose to the correspondant authorities. i have seems a lot of dishonest companies falls aparts because of god's justice. I know that i serve a living god of israel that is dealing right now with this problem that is not longer mine it is his believe it or not. thank you god.
