MWI*Essentials, MWI*Connections Fraudulent, secret billing on credit card AFTER I REFUSED ALL services products BS MEMBERSHIP FEES. Connecticut Connecticut
It was my mother's birthday and I saw on a T.V. Infomercial something called the "Pasta Pro" for cooking in the kitchen. I thought that she would really like it. I called the number on the screen and ordered the "Past Pro" on my credit card. The Telemarketer on the other end of the line kept asking me if I wanted to add this to my order, and that and oh yeah, "if you act now, I can add this special offer to your order today for only..." and so on. I kept saying No, No and No. Everything was a No. I repeated that I only wanted the "Pasta Pro". The Telemarketer complied and completed my order stating that it would be delivered in 6 to 7 weeks. I hung up the phone.
Six weeks later I received and mailed the "Past Pro" to my mother. My credit card reflected the correct amount charged for the "Pasta Pro" later that month. I thought that that was the end of it.
The following month, I was again reviewing my credit card statement excited that it would be a zero balance because I had paid it off. I had a new balance of over $120.00 on it! There were three charges on the statement, two on 1/21/03, $12.95 and $96.00 and one charge on 2/14/03, $12.95. These charges came from companies named MWI*ESSENTIALS 877-244-8258 CT and MWI*CONNECTIONS 800-750-4364 CT. I had no clue who the hell these companies were and promptly called their phone numbers only to be informed by voicemail on the other end that they were an entertainment company and that their web address was www.dealpass.com. There were no live people available to talk to. I got online at www.dealpass.com and discovered all of the other Rip-Off Reports! I am planning to attempt to get a refund from the number listed on this web site for them, and if that it is not successful, that I will joing the California lawsuit!
