Beware of this fraudster and scamster Mr WAQAR RASOOL MALIK a Pakistani National residing in Dubai, UAE. His has frauded unknown no of persons by offering them and luring them to buy Aluminium Scraps, & Copper from him.
For this purpose he has made many companies some of which are : AYAAZ BASHIR ELECTRONICS LLC, Najmat Mumbai Gen Trdg LLC, Swarnbhoomi Gen Trdg LLC all registered in Dubai & Sharjah. Interestingly one company Ayaaz Bashir does not even exists.
To authenticate his credentials and to generate confidence in his victims he uses a well furnished office situated in 6th floor, UBL Building, Near Bur Juman Metro Station, Bur Dubai, Dubai City, UAE. His phone is +971 56 764 6592 which is often switched off but his whatsapp is always on.
He contacted me in October 2016 and offered Aluminium Scraps. We made a deal and it was decided at time of loading we will be present . He asked for advance and full deal was made for about 200000 US $ in two parts. We paid him advance through my friends company in Dubai. When Loading was due he made so many stories that his partner is not aloowing to load without full payment and so on. He convinced us to transfer full payment to him.
After getting full payment he gave us Original documents of Shipments directly to us stating that as he could not wait for us at time of loading he sent containers directly to India and he has to travel to Pakistan. We trusted him as he provided all documents like Invoice, BL of Shipping Line and Photo of loading material. We confirmed with Shipping Line and we were told that Containers have been shipped, so we were bit satisfied.
Actual problem aroused when we were informed in India by our clearing agent that all containers are underweight by 80%. We requested Indian Customs for Joint Survey in presence of Shipping Line Agents, CHA, Customs Officers, Ourselves and a Third Party surveyor. When Those containers were opened as feared they had only few Cement Blocks.
We at once contacted Mr Waqar Rasool malik but as expected he did not responded. When we left messages and emails than he replied that as he is travelling to Pakistan as his brother has expired he will find out where the fault is and started making stories after that. We told him we will file a police complaint against him but he had no affect of that instead he said he will help us recover all loss as his partner has done this cheating and started making all sort of stories.
In Meantime we met many people who were also his victims and lost huge or small amounts and it was same story with all. We have all documents, his whatsapp Chats with us but as Law in Dubai is strange and too relaxed about fraud matters nothing is being done. There are about 20-21 fraud cases registered against this Waqar Rasool Malik but he is still roaming free and finding new victims. So we request all of you to be beware of this person and if you find him or his contacts please report.
