This company sent flyers out in the mail advertising a model home furniture sale. They posted signs on the street directing you to some model homes off Azure Rd in North Las Vegas.

Upon arriving the furniture was laid out in all the rooms like a model home. They had 3 "salespeople" helping customers. I found an iron bedroom set that I wanted to purchase and the man and I talked about price. We agreed on $350 for the 2 nightstands a corner display shelf and a old fashion style swivel mirror. He took me into another model house and we started on the paperwork.

He then informed me that I would be getting a "brand new" in boxes overstocked set not the one at the model like was implied prior to that, the set was at the warehouse and they would deliver it in a week or so.

I went to pay by credit card and the machine was "broken" they needed cash and couldn't take a check due to so much fraud. I gave them $350 in cash and got a reciept.

I got a call a couple days later scheduling my delivery for 2 weeks later. Before the delivery I got another call saying they were short that set and it would be another week or so. I waited a week and then called. They were busy.. the set was coming in.. the set was backordered... they got the set in and it's the wrong one.. I have had 20 or more phone calls with these people. It has now been 3 months and no furniture.

2 weeks ago I got an Email from them to confirm the correct set. I was told they would have it in a 5 business days. I was told the pieces I ordered were really another set and that thier cost was well past $750 but they would give me it anyway because it was thier screw up. I got a flyer that weekend from another furniture store and the pieces are only worth $269 all together. I called them again asking them to call me and they never did. I drove by thier address and there is no sign on the building and the back warehouse door was open. There was no furniture in this warehouse at all and the forklift operator laughed at me when I said why I was there and just walked away.

I called and left the company a message about the fact that thier warehouse was empty and that they needed to call me to let me know I had not been ripped off. Big surprise! No call back. So I'm out $350 and a single mother who just moved to Las Vegas and I already got taken.

I ordered items from National Home Furnishings back in December. I and ran into some delivery problems in February. Initially I believed I had been scammed and put my 20 years police experience into investigating and keeping track of this company and owner. Eventually I met with Brian and he explained some things that sometimes happen to many small businesses (problems with employees, problems with suppliers, etc.) and after meeting with him I was certain that he wanted to make things right for all of his customers. I took him at his word, and every promise he made me, he kept. Yes, some delivery dates were missed because of things that seem beyond his control, but I now have all 6 pieces of my furniture. My advice to other customers who read this is to be patient, treat Brian with the respect you would want to have if you were a businessman in his position and eventually he will make things right. I don't believe this started out as a scam; it just had the appearances of one when things fell apart.

I would like to say THANK YOU Rip off report! With your help I was finally able to get most of the furniture I paid for. I feel that it was only with your help that the company responded and got my order to me. They were accusing, hostile, and an item short but I was reimbursed for the missing item. Thank you again Rip off Report! Your service really works for people who have nowhere else to turn. I feel badly that the company had to slander someone when all that was done was report the facts regarding my case. Making threats to give out someones address(included on the Advisory and Release form) and telephone number online, just shows the level of integrity this company has. Especially when they are unsure of who made the report. Rip off report is the one who blocked the information on who made the report. I'm sure they do this to protect innocent people from revenge from the company they are reporting. The delivery of my furniture in a timely manner is left for you to judge. Is 3 months and 13 days timely when it was promised to be no more than 2-3 weeks. I have never spoken to or made arrangments with a John. The only person I have spoken to was a Brian. Maybe there is poor communication from employee to owner regarding the facts. In response that all I had to do was call them.. I did.. many many times. Only once have I ever gotten a live person at either of the telephone numbers I had for them. It always goes to voice mail. This company also has had no time to change their voice mail since it still says "Thank you for your patience during this busy Holiday season" Asking for a customers patience in a general voice mail message tells me they have problems with most of their customers and it's not just me. What I said was true in my initial report and this report. Bottom line is buy from whoever you want. Just really, really research the company and know what your in for before you give someone your money. Thanks again for your help!

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

This customer claims many things in their report which are simply untrue, and rather than discussing the merits of each point, the end result is this customer has had all of HER furniture delivered in a timely manner. She is not out anything since her furniture was delivered and her sympathy line at the end of her report is ridiculous. Since this person refused to give her entire information, we believe her name is Patty Gray, in which she purchased a few rod iron bedroom pieces that were delivered out to her house. Any customer or potential customer inquiring about this complaint, please feel free to contact us directly at: 702-610-4300. It is my great hope that this customer UPDATE their report as having received their furniture and our company will be more than happy to provide the signed "Advisory and Release" form acknowledging receipt of her furniture or her home telephone number for verification. Our campany works with designers and builders in 3 states, servicing over 1500 customers in the last year alone and it is unfortunate that we have to waste our time answering a petty complaint such as this when all the customer has to do is call us DIRECTLY. Nonetheless, this order was fulfilled and completed.
