I received a Sweepstakes notice in the mail and since I've been in a bit of a financial slum I decided to give it a try. I was talked into ordering some magazines and told not only did I have a chance to win the sweepstakes but I had some free gifts coming. As soon as I agreed and gave them my credit card number, they kept adding more magazines and I kept saying no I dont want any more maybe this was a bad choice, they said they were at no additional charge. Well by the time I was done I was going to be paying 37.50 a month for 7 month, but of course I could cancel at any time if I wasn't satisfied with the order.

Two days later the first charge was already on my credit card. Two weeks later since I had received nothing I decided to call and cancel, they talked me out it and did not let me cancel telling me to give it a little more time.Eight days after that worried of another coming change and still having received nothing decided I was really going to cancel this time.

When I called the customer service informing them I wanted to cancel, an Account Supervisor named Frank, ID#51091 was rude and sarcastic to the point of mimiking me that I did'nt get this, and I didnt get that. I told him at this point I did not want the order or the free gifts or anything and he refused to take my cancellation telling me I had to wait at least 30 days. I had been told at first I could cancel at any time. They are Rip-offs.

Norma you are a victim and should file a charge back with your credit card company. Tell your credit card company that you cancelled within 2 days per their stated policy and that NME refuses to issue the credit. These people hate to be hit with a "charge back" but that is the only weapon you have to deal with them. They are predatory skanks. Tell your credit card company you want a new card with a new number and it will block any future charges from these predatory liars. NME IS LIARS LIARS LIARS. They always promise that you can cancel but then they refuse to do the cancellation. If most people did a "charge back" and changed their card number it would severely curtail the activity of these EVIL SKANKS.
