National Retail Supply They Call..Ask about POS printer..Ship "FREE" printer rolls..Bill $8.00 per roll..Then harass by phone! Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
I'm the owner of a little family business with 8 employees. We're pretty much a "break even" operation, so I do ALL the ordering, accounting, maintenance, promotion, menus, cooking, parking lot striping, garbage removal, etc. When it comes to money, the buck really stops here with me!
Early October 2009 we get a phone call from these fine folks. They ask my manager for the model number of the cash register printer, saying they are going to send "FREE" printer paper. She gives the telemarketer the printer and address info and they say the "FREE" product will be shipped right away.
When the package arrives I don't recognize the return address as any current vendor so I am suspicious. I google "National Retail Supply" and ripoffreport.com tells me my biz is the victim of a scam! Within a week I get an Invoice from them demanding $197 for 24 rolls of "FREE" printer paper. That's $8.21 a roll, considerably more than the $.75 a roll I pay from my regular supplier.
Loaded with info from ripoff reports, I called them and told their voicemail the FTC considers product received without an order a "gift" and I will not pay. I also faxed the invoice to them with documentation of my voicemail message.
Now they are harassing us with phone calls, insisting we "ordered" these printer rolls. I've informed my people to just thank them for the "gift" and hang up. My employees and I fighting the good fight against these crooks, THANKS TO RIPOFFREPORT.COM!

They are still harassing us by phone and mailing invoices. My wife decided to hand this over to our lawyer to stop the harassment.
A "cease and desist" letter should be going their way soon. I will update this report when we hear the response from these con artists.
