National Studios Could not get my pictures without expected additional fees (undisclosed at sitting) Maryland Heights Missouri
They set up a temporary studio in our local K-Mart. They took $10 up front with a sitting fee around the same amount when we had our sitting. Waited several weeks and then while away of vacation they sent a postcard that I must show up a several days later to view the pictures. When I get back from vacation, I call and they tell me they are not at K-Mart anymore and will send me another postcard when I can view the pictures. After waiting a month or so I call back and get the same response. This goes on for several months. I then call demanding they mail me the pictures if they are not going to make them available locally.
What I get in the mail is not the pictures promised but proofs that have been ink stamped "PROOF, Property of National Studios" on the face of the photo. They also include an order form that states in order to get my prepaid package I must mail a shipping and handling fee of $8.95. Since they could never make them available in a reasonable time frame at the location they were taken, I have written them back asking they send my prepaid package and I did not send them the requested additional fees. After many months of no response, I get a bad feeling my letter will go ignored as well. BEWARE!

National Studios Delivered my photos

It took almost six months but I did finally receive my photos I paid for. So, I can no longer state this as a total rip off since they did mail my photos without charging the additional fees they were requesting. Considering all the time and hassle, I am certainly not a satisfied customer but I do have to give them credit for finally following through.
