Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

At a time desperate financial situation, I was contacted by Samuel Washington, (who knows if this is his real name), with ID#: TP11696, and who introduced himself as a Financial Consultant for Nationwide Financial Services. He offered his expertise and help to relieve me from my debts, promising that his company was going to discuss with my creditors, my financial situation in order to lower the interest and help me pay faster my debts. After about 90 minutes on the phone, he got me to agree to provide all my confidential Financial data to his 'Company'.

After paying $998.00 up front for the services they were suppose to provide, I was led to believe that he could reduce our Credit Card interest and he guaranteed that his 'Company' could save us a minimum of $5000 during the course of our credit payments.

About one week later, I received all the paperwork from them, I saw that "mistakenly" they had printed out the guarantee not $5000 as agreed, but $2500. I was speaking with Courtney Bauer, who introduced herself as office administrator. I asked her if about this mistake: she confirmed it and told me that she was going to resent all the documentation by mail. Naively, I asked her to sent the paper work by email. At first she stopped, then she told me that: "It can be done, you just have to wait for about 10 minutes". After 2 hours, I received the email with all the corrected info. And the email was GMail!!!

In her email, she also notified my that: " I have switched your financial strategist because Josh Rodriguez is on a sick leave at the moment. So from here on out, your financial strategist will be Leslie Zettler." Strange that someones goes on sick leave for a long period of time...

I filled all the paperwork and sent it back to them by email, asking to confirm if they received it or not. After one week (during this time, I never heard from them) I called on all the numbers I had: 1-888-567-1232 and 1-888-512-6911 as well as their fax number: 1-800-890-0426. In all cases (during different times of day/night) I heard the same message/recording: "...Service - The number you called is not in service at this time. Thanks for calling. Good bye!".

This "company" is a B-I-G Ripoff. The people who run it are a disgrace.

But all the fault is mine, who, in desperate situation, should have been much more careful and should have done my home work properly. Shame on me!

As for "Nationwide Financial Services" they have scammed me, caused irreparable damage to my credit and stolen my money.

Be careful!

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sat, November 28, 2009

I would just like to say that I was employed by the company, Nationwide Financial Services, and the only reason that my name was mentioned in this is because I was the last negotiator to stick with the company through the hard times that lead to the closing of the doors.  I am still owed money that I will not receive for work I completed.  I would like to tell Tony that all he needs to do is to contact his credit card company, tell them that he made a charge to a company that didn't provide the service he hired them for, and they will place the charge into dispute.  Once he fills out the papers for the bank, they will credit him the $998.00 USD fee along with all finance charges that have accrued up to that point.  We have both been taken for a ride, unfortunately, but at least you can get your money back.  Good luck in the future, and I hope your financial situation gets better.
