Hello everyone!! so after 155.000 miles on my 92 ford F150 pickup truck my transmission went bad, ok no big deal it is know that the transmission had problems when ford built it. ford did fix and repair or replace a lot of transmissions when the proble arose. well my problem happened at the beginning of 2013 so of qourse i wouldnt exspect ford to help me out, afterall my truck is 21 years old. i love this truck and it is in mint condition and i take very good care of it, i love to get in and drive it everyday. if there is a problem i take care of it right away with only the best parts i can get. well the transmission went out so i thought ill just buy a new transmission with all the updated parts in it, so went on line and found Nationwide remanufactuing, called them up and told them what i needed and how i felf about some companys that reman transmissions. the guy on the phone told me he gets the best of the best when it comes to techs that build for him and also asured me that if i had a problem it would be takin care off. so with out a dought i ripped out the card and said please send me one of those transmissions, i only want the best for my truck!!!! so on its way it was....so i thought, 4 weeks latter no trans. called the company and the first excuse was that the fraight company was union and would not drive in the rain in texas... really.... so the next excuse was the fraight company droped the trans and the case broke and thay had to send a brand new one... really.... so finaly one day it showed up, took a weekend day, installed the trans, new trans cooler all new lines and anything else needed so it would be just as new as possible.. took it out for a test drive and GREAT, was so happy to have my truck up and running tops.. well for about 900 miles... i was driving down the road one day miles from home and the trans locked up in traffic and brought me to a dead stop and hard it did, i hit the steering wheel, everyting in the truck hit the floorboard, everyting in the back of the truck slid forward and some of it was broke. i called Nationwide to have them help me out for a warranty... i have never heard back after sevreal calls and emails. so i got the address where it was shipped from and call some companys in texas to see if they knew of them. aamco transmission was one of tthe calls, exsplaned to him my problem, the first words out of his mouth was" call the BBB, Texas state Attornys office and call my own attorny" and there you have it, the $999.00 transmission deal is dead and on the floor along side the origonal and a new one on its way from for for the price of $2000.00 bucks. in realalty the truck is only worth $3000 bucks but its my truck and i love it and now i have 3 transmission 2 broke ones and one on its way. if there is anyone out there with the same problem with this company, please speak up maybe an attorney will see all the post and we might recoop some money for are time
