I would also DISPUTE this debt as well. The reason for disputing the debt (in writing) is so that you may take advantage of the Fair Credit Reporting Act to obtain free credit reports to make sure that this matter is not on your credit reports. The FCRA, under certain conditions allows you to receive 2 free credit reports during a 12 month period. This is in addition to the free annual reports. On those complaints, they will likely do you no good. NCO is one of the bottom feeder junk debt buyers looking to cash in on an old debt. It may or may not even be yours. That said, you first need to request validation of this alleged debt to make them prove that it is, in fact, yours. Also, if it is yours and old, you need to check the statute of limitations on debt collection in your state.
