well i also dealt with Neptune Society a few months back.. My experience went just as the gentleman who came and did my grandfathers cremation plan said it would... On the day of the passing we called the 800 number given to us and they came right out, very well dressed and very sympothetic. As if it were one of thier own.. I give Neptune Society an A++++... Very smooth in our time of sorrow... Thank you Neptune.. Brandy

Yes it is true, this company makes a profit on their merchandise. But what business doesn't, do you think when you go into a grocery store, dress shop or even the gas station they don't make a profit on what we buy. Of course they do. It is the american way. Most CEO's have big houses and boats. The money left is what covers the cremation, not a funeral. Many people are choosing cremation so their familirs don't have to pay for an expensive funeral. If the company ever goes out of business which is very unlikely since they have been in business since the 1970's, the money is in a trust that earns interest to offset the cost of dying in the future. The CEO is the same person. Some managers have quit or have been fired. Yes they have closed some offices in order to keep their cost of the plans affordable. Pre-planning is so helpful for people who want to have some control over this part of their life, it is so much easier on their families when people do put a plan inplace way before. Please remember to love your family everyone needs to take care of this. At our end if there is nothing pre-arranged then there is confusion, fighting within the members of a family. Nobody wants that, don't listen to this X-Employee sounds like they have some anger issues and not the correct infomation. Be brave, be caring and Pre-Plan. You will have peace of mind anb have one less thing to worry about.

Nearly all states have regulatory boards for cemeteries and funerals. In California, your board is located on the Internet at: http://www.cfb.ca.gov/
It is wise to use these agencies first or an attorney rather than attack a business or especially a person over the Internet.

TO HAVE A SUCCESSFUL DEFAMATION SUIT -LIBEL --THERE HAS TO BE AN OBVIOUSLY FALSE STATEMENT PUBLISHED AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC HAS TO READ IT AND BELIEVE IT AND IT HAS TO BE DEMONSTRATED IN COURT THAT THE ALLEGATION IS FALSE ON THE FACE AND IT HAS CAUSED FINANCIAL HARM.
I AM A REASONABLE AND PRUDENT MEMBER OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
I READ THE STATEMENT AND I THOUGHT IT WAS A VERY GOOD BUSINESS PLAN!
A BUSINESS IS IN BUSINESS TO MAKE MONEY AND IT LOOKS LIKE TO ME NEPTUNE HAS A BUSINESS PLAN I MYSELF WOULD LIKE TO EMULATE.
I WISH I COULD INVEST IN THIS ENTERPRISE AND INTEND TO LOOK UP THEIR PROSPECTUS ON THE INTERNET.
I AM GLAD THIS JOHN OR JANE DOE EXPLAINED IT.
I DO NOT BELIEVE IN CREMATION FOR MYSELF FOR RELIGIOUS REASONS, NOT BECAUSE OF ANYTHING I READ HERE. HOWEVER, MANY PEOPLE DO AND LOCALLY, NEPTUNE CONTINUES TO DO A RATHER GOOD BUSINESS.
AS LONG AS THEY FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THEIR TERMS OF THE CONTRACT, THEY ARE ENTITLED TO SPEND THE PROFITS LEGALLY ANYWAY THEY WISH.
