I was looking for a new home internet service and found NetZero. I called and explained to the rep what I needed: a fast, home internet capable of high streaming speeds. The rep told me they had a service to match my needs. I repeatedly specified that this would be used for heavy streaming of Netflix, etc. through a PlayStation as well used simultaneously on a laptop, iPad, and various mobile devices. The rep assured me that this was the type of service he was signing me up for.

However upon recieving a confirmation email the next morning I saw that what he had signed me up for was a mobile hot spot to be used with a mobile device and that had a cap of data.  

This was not the type of service that I wanted nor would it even be enough for what my needs were, which I had specified over and over.

I therefore called NetZero right away to cancel this service. The rep told me that the hot spot device was already mailed but that I just needed to return it and I would get a refund for the device and that I would not have to pay the early termination fee since I was calling before I had even used the service.  

Well, that was one month ago and I am still waiting to recieve a refund even after returning the device as instructed. I have called several times and each time being placed on hold for long periods of time and told they are going to process it but nothing happens. They refuse to give me any sort of confirmations numbers for my calls and say they will email me a confirmation yet nothing ever comes. 

I am filing a complaint against NetZero for selling me a product that did not suit my needs nor was what I had asked for and now they are refusing to refund me even though I was assured that I would get my money back for the device and not be charged a cancellation fee. I am still waiting for my refund of $125. 

Do NOT sign up with this company. They outsource everything and are shady about their services and do not refund for their scams.  All they want is your money.  They do not have a good service or product. Do not do business with them.
