Newcomb heating and cooling Ryan Newcomb Did not finish jobs. Tile floor installation is terrible. Took 2 months longer to partially completed. Damaged our entry door, damaged new shower floor and tried hidding it Jonesboro Illinois
We hired this company to instal a new heating and air unit, and remodeling work after a attaic fire. Ryan promised to have our home finished in a months time frame, and he assured us that his dad had plenty of carpenter guys to assist with all the remodeling work that needed to be done. We gave him $9,000 upfront because he said he didn't have money of his own to buy the materials needed for our home. Instead of buying everything on the estimate he spent most of the money paying off a hvac bill he previously accrued.
He used left over materials from other jobs, he rarely showed up to work, and he lost our house key and damaged our entry door using clippers to get in the house. He damaged my new shower floor, and tried hiding it by using putty to cover the hole.. He installed our new tile floor, and it has severely slippage, and chunks of grout are already coming out and the floor was only installed 7 months ago. He moved my drain pipes in the bathroom and moved my water lines back behind our hot water heater because of the shower floor damage he could not return the shower and he ordered the wrong one so thats why he moved the drains and pipes.
He is not license to do plumbing work, and he messed the drains up. He did not do all the work that was on the insurance estimate. However he kept every penny of the $18,000 as if he had. He did not haul off or clean up the construction mess that he left, and we had to pay someone else to do this. He lied and told us that materials and paint were stolen from our garage, and his employees later admitted that ryan and them took everything back to his shop in anna. They returned un used tile that we paid for and kept the money also.
He did not completely instal my new heat and air unit either. We have been out thousands of dollars to fix/repair his damages to our home. And he then threated me with harresment and said he would have me arrested and lose my job if I contacted him again about when he was coming back to finish up, or if I had a complaint with anything else. He lied and told the cops that I threatened him and he wanted an escourt by them if he did come back, and on and on. I turned him into the attorney General office, and the BBB, and the state plumbing inspector. We are also fixing to file a civil law suite on him very soon. Home owners beware he claims to be a jack of all trades, but cant master 1 thing completely.
