I wanted to respond to Nica's response of these claims with a fact and a question. First, it is clear that many terminals that you are discussing can be purchased from various places for as little as $300.00. I have personal experience with a company that signed up (somewhat not knowing, as the first complaint suggests) on a lease program through you that was $150.00 per month for 48 months. In fact, I'm looking at the contract now! This is $7200.00 for your services!!! I think your statement of $29-$49 per month for 36 months is a little misleading hence your word 'most'. Second, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't at least part or all of the ownership of your company also own part or all of the leasing company? Is this true? In essence, you ARE getting most of that money if this is the case! If that is not the case please state so and also please look into another more reasonable leasing company to help lower the cost for a small business in an increasingly difficult economy! Either way, I believe $7200.00 is beyond excessive for a machine you can buy for $350.00 and then pay a processing company a minimal fee which I believe is $15-$20.00 per month to operate it. As a business, there is no reason to degrade a person who has a complaint such as Frank123. Please just state the facts with professionalism. If everything you say is true, then there is no reason for that!

It should first be noted that we don't have nor have we ever had a sales agent from Franklin, MN. Frank123 lacks the honesty and courage to identify himself because he knows his accusations contain lies and he probably fears that we would take legal action against him for spreading slanderous lies about our company. This folks, is an example of a cowardly disgruntled person who lacks the ability and drive to successfully sell a legitimate product and service that will nearly always net the customer more in profits than any cost incurred. So in the interests of full disclosure, here we go: He alledges that we charge up to $6,000 for a $350 machine. Nothing close to that has ever happened. We do offer the merchant the option of leasing equipment as does every other company in this industry. They also have the option of paying cash in the event that they don't want a lease. Most choose to lease as it does not require any upfront money. If a merchant chooses to purchase equipment from another source or already has equipment that is capable of performing the service they choose to buy from us, we are happy to do that. For a terminal that leases for $49.95 per month we make less than $500 and must pay all of our overhead from that. After paying our overhead we net less that $100. Even with that, we offer a lifetime warranty on the equipment! Does that sound like a ripoff? The sales rep makes over $800 and has no overhead except for gas. The only reason we offer leases is so the sales agent has an opportunity to earn an upfront commission. Any residual income we earn from the processing service, we split with the sales agent. So I'm pretty sure we are not taking unfair advantage of the sales agent. He asks who gets the rest from the equipment lease? The lease company does. $49.95 per month times 48 months (the term of the lease) equals less than $2,400. The sales rep gets over $800, we get less than $500, most of which goes toward paying our employees, office space, taxes, insurance, advertising, etc leaving us less than $100. The balance goes to the lease company who funds the lease. So Frank123 says that we are making $3 for every $1 the sales agent makes. That is a bold face lie and Frank123 has no idea what he is talking about. Frank123 says "NICA is probably the highest priced alternative for any customer needing a merchant account." Again, that is a lie. The majority of our leases range from $29 to $49 per month. It is common for other companies to charge $99 up to $149 per month for the same equipment. Frank123 also makes the following lying statement: "Wait, it gets better. After that they slide in some hidden fees that they don't tell the customer about up front. Just skip that part and get him to sign the application TODAY! And that's okay with NICA because the customer's entrusted their bank account information to them and signed a three year contract so NICA can just go ahead and pull out whatever they want". There are no hidden fees. All fees are clearly written on the merchant agreement in and are fees charged by every other processor in the industry. Yes the merchant agreement is for 36 months. So is every other processor's. Frank123, try getting a cell phone without a term agreement. Nica does not pull ANY money out of the merchant's account, the processor does...again, in accordance with the agreement as does every merchant processing company. Frank alledges we don't care about our reps and "And if the agent can't feed their family, that's okay just chew them up, spit them out, and get 20 more to sign up through Monster." The very first thing we tell applicants for the sales position is that it's a commission only position with no base salary. We stress in our training that if you can't deal with rejection (like Frank123) and aren't highly motivated and driven (like Frank123) this probably isn't for you. We do not want to waste time, money and other resources training people like Frank123 only to have them fail. I could go on and on about Frank123's inane and dishonest rantings, but I won't. If any of you reading this would like to really now about Nica, you are welcome to give us a call or even come by and visit our office in Tucson, AZ.
