I received a letter postmarked from Canada, along with a check in the amount of $2,580.00. The check was from FTC v. Datacom Merketing, Office of the Claims Administrator, P.O. Box 2009, Chanhassen, MN 55317-2009. The bank is Citizens Bank from Pennsylvania, no address..The check looks very real, except the routing number is fake. Below is what the letter says:

RE: Award Winning Notification:

Congratulations on your success as one of the winners of North American Utilities draw held on Monday April 24th, 2008. Participants were selected through a computer ballot system, drawn from 149,000 telephone numbers and utilities bills of the individuals who sign up for services. Your ticket number: 1645(look bottom same number), with the serial number BR-717(Look bottom same number) emerged as one of the winning tickets. You have therefore been awarded a lump sum pay out of $46,500.00USD cash, which is the winning payout for the series. This is from total prize money of $25,234,000.00 shared among the winners.

Our firm has secured for, the percentage surcharge to be paid as commission on your winning prize to the Lotto Regulatory Board, saving you the trouble. The check for $2,580.00 enclosed covers the charge/fees required to be paid, prior to receiving your winning. Keep winning confidential until your prize money is received to avoid multiple claims.

Please call your payment coordinator Mrs. Karen Peterson or Mr. Michael Holt at 1-450-209-0712(did called this number and it was different language) as soon as you receive this notice to assist you in finalizing the payment process.

is Washington Mutual Bank, FA Park Cities Financial Center 1822 Dallas, TX 75209. The check looks very real, except the routing number is fake. Below is what the letter says:

P.S.S. Good things I found the internet about this and Glad I did not do anything so what should I do with the check and letter?? Take to Police or what??
