I needed my transmission repaired on my truck and found North GA Auto. Prior to just taking my vehicle to him I researched and no negative reports so I felt comfortable with him enough to do the repair work.  I spoke with Shawn ,prior to dropping off my truck, to make payment arrangements and he agreed.  He loaned me a vehicle like he said but he tried to threaten me with he's gonna keep my truck if I don't finish with the balance of the money. 

Now that Shawn knows my family owns a business his tone totally changed.  Finally I told him that if he keeps my truck then I would keep his car as well as file a lawsuit against him for going against our agreement.  He agreed, but I can tell that he did not like it. 

Now that my truck is in my possession, no less than a week later, my transmission is not kicking into gear properly so he said that happens to all transmissions and to keep driving it for a few more weeks and it would correct itself, but it didn't.  Now that I have called him back letting him know that nothing has changed with the trans, he's telling me that now the warranty has expired.

There is no one that you can complain to here in GA that will get these companies to follow rules and regulations and that if they don't follow them that there will be consequences and repercussions.

All I can say is don't trust this guy or this company.

We stand behind our warranty

This posting is absolutely ludicrous.  Our shortest warranty is 3 months, unlimited mileage parts and labor and we offer extended warranties up to 3 years/36000 miles.  If this claim was valid the person would have been well within their warranty. 

We have never refused service to a client and the only case where a customer's vehicle would be kept is when no payment is made and the vehicle goes into impound and through the abandonment process.  This process doesn't even begin until the vehicle has been sitting for a couple weeks to a month. 

Either this statement is coming from one of our competitors trying to slander our name or this customer is not being forthright with the facts.   We are a fair, family owned and operated company that gives some of the industry's best warranties, great service, and quality that we stand behind. 

We have been in business for over 18 years and are an industry leader.  Our expertise and level of business referrals speak volumes to who we are and what we do.  We want this person to show proof that we served them, because something just isn't right here.
