Minneapolis,#2Consumer Suggestion
Fri, August 01, 2003
Hi Karin, I too was notified about a year and a half ago that my People Magazine account had been turned over to this so called Collection Agency. The letter stated that I had renewed my subscription for an additional THREE years, which I had not, I had simply let my subscription expire (never received an issue after my original subscription expired, but for $279.24 they would be gald to "reinstate" my subscription and remove this black mark from their files.... ha ha ha... that's hilarious). Anyway, it's easier to just ignore this company than to try to straighten this out. This collection agency DOES NOT report to any credit bureaus and will NEVER call you. They will send out letters on a pretty regular basis for the first three months or so, and then a letter every couple of months, and after a year or so they just disappear. Hope this info helps, please don't waste a second worrying about this ridiculous company.
