I purchased a set of mineral cosmetics from Northern Minerals, which is owned by Patrick and Michelle Oliphant, on Sept.8, 2005, through their Ebay store, NorthernMinerals. I have not received my purchase, these people will not answer my NUMOUROUS emails, they will not return phone calls and they will not refund my money!

I'm not alone. They have cheated appx 68 people on Ebay, all of who are trying to get their money back with little success. Most of us received a partial refund through paypal, but these people, Patrick and Michelle Oliphant, have stolen probably $1500 from Ebay buyers. They continue to sell on their website, www.northernminerals.com.

People need to be aware that they very possibly may never receive their product and will be out whatever they pay for it. I have filed a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General's office in Anchorage, Alaska, with the Better Business Bureau of Alaska and also the Internet Fraud Protection Agency..

Anyone who has had money stolen by these people should do the same. The more complaints they receive, the better the chances are they will be shut down and will not be allowed to steal from any more trusting customers!

After filing my rip off report about Northern Minerals, I finally did receive the rest of my refund from Patrick and Michelle Oliphant on Dec.9. Using Rip-Off really works!! Keep up the great work ripoff.com :o) However, I am in NO way giving the thumbs up to Northern Minerals or Patrick and Michelle Oliphant. They have referred to me as "viscious and rude" because I dared to be upset that they would not reply to my numourous emails and phone call's. If that makes me viscious and rude, so be it.. I don't think Patrick and Michelle should expect anything less from anyone they take money from but never bother to fill those orders! If you are a victim of Northern Mineral's scam, please add your own Rip-Off report.. The more info posted, the more pressure will be put on Michelle and Patrick Oliphant to refund money to everyone who is still owed a refund, which very obviously, despite Patrick and Michelle's insistance that they sent out product or refunds to everyone who was owed, is numourous! Again, thank you rip off report!! I think between your forum and my contacting the new business partner of Northern Minerals, I did receive justice!

I won an auction on 8/28/05, but due to increasingly bad feedback, held off on purchasing until ASSURED by Philip that this was all a temporary setback due to a family emergency. I paid in Sept by money order, which was received on 9/10/05, posted to ebay on 9/11/05, and cashed on 9/12/05. It is 12/24/05. All I have received is hollow promises from both Philip in October and Michelle on 12/8/05 that I would have my product within days. Michelle even went so far as to offer me my product with a 50% refund. Well, 16 days later, NOTHING. And they will not answer my e-mails. I told them that I would come here and now I have. I will be detailing my saga in my own report shortly.

In a letter from Patrick, it clearly states that ALL orders received by them have either received a full refund or shipped their products! This IS A LIE! I am a consumer who also ordered in September. To date I have NOT received a refund, my product nor an e-mail from Northern Minerals. All communications via e-mail and telephone have been ignored! Northern Minerals know what they are doing! SCAMMING THE U.S. POPULATION!!!!!!!They should clearly spend some time in JAIL!!!

Patrick, You still owe me $25 and PLEASE...for goodness sakes... don't pretend I haven't told you this over and over again.. I even sent you a copy of the letter from paypal stating that they refunded me $24.84 and that YOU, the SELLER, still owe me $25 and I will need to get that from you.. Please do us both a favor, refund my money to me and stop playing these silly games... Just in case you need your memory refreshed, below you will find the letter I mailded you on Nov.21 with a copy of the letter from paypal telling me how much they were able to refund me and how much you still owe me.. Now everyone, including you, can see for themselves what exactly paypal paid and didn't pay and how much you still owe me..and I'm not alone.. there are numourous people, whom I've spoken to via email, you received either a partial or no refund at all from paypal and nothing from you!! People...BEWARE...Patrick obviously feels he can just keep going around and around in circles and the bottom line is, I paid him for merchandise he didn't send and he hasn't refunded my money.. If she comes back on here to say that she has recovered that $25.00 from you, (and maybe a small gift of your product for the run around that she's endured) then I might be inclined to believe that you might still have some integrity after all. Until then, may your stockings be filled with coal and may your pockets hold nothing but wishful thinking.

Patrick, YOU have not once, not ONCE written me in response to ANY of my emails or returned ANY of my phone calls.. Paypal gave me HALF of my refund, not a full refund, and that is why I'm not happy with my refund.. You have NOT sent orders to all the rest of the people you cheated on Ebay and it's just amazing that you actually state that you have. Quite a few people added feedback for you on Ebay saying you a quite the liar.. Very obviously, you are.. Now you have teamed up with a new website so you can go on cheating people some more.. This entire forum is so that people like me who have been cheated by people like you can warn others... If you don't like that, then send me and all the rest of the people you cheated out of money the rest of our refunds.. Please don't pretend you don't know how much paypal refunded to each of us. Very few of us actually received a full refund from paypal. And as for my being vicious in my emails... I wasn't vicious, I was mad!! Mad that you took my money and couldn't even bother to reply to my inquiries about where my product was... Send me the rest of my refund Patrick and I'll go away... But you still owe me $25 and until I get it, you will not stop hearing from me..

I just realized that Northern Minerals has teamed up with another website that also sell's mineral cosmetics. I am not going to add the name of this new website until I hear back from the owner because she may be an unsuspecting, innocent website owner.. But it looks like the Oliphant's are just going to continue with their business one way or the other!
