I started working for NVMS last February doing property inspections in my area. At the time, I realized that they paid 8 weeks after the completion of the job, which was fine with me. However, after the time came to start getting paid, there were no checks. I emailied by rep and their accounts payable department and they told me they were mailed several weeks ago. A few days later, I recieved the checks post marked the day after our email exchange. I spoke with my rep telling her that it was a little concerning that they were holding checks because that is a tell-tale sign of a failing business struggling for cash flows.
She promised that checks would be on time if I would do some more work, so I did but kept it minimal to mitgate any potential loss. Low and behold, the checks continued to be post marked 2-3 weeks after they were supposed to so I hold my rep I no longer wanted to do anymore jobs. Thats when the checks stopped all together. As I am looking at my profile, they owe me checks from more than two months ago that have been assigned numbers, but I'm sure are just sitting in a box since I refuse to do more work for them. In a span of about 6 months, there were 4 different reps assigned to my area, so my guess is they are not paying their employees either. Stay far away from them, they are a total scam.

Thanks for the advice. It took me only five days with threatening and contacting Fannie Mae among other accounts to get the rest of All of the back money they Owe me They still owe me for about four weeks. I actually spoke to Fannie Mae representatives who are going to talk to them about their practices and how they pay their independent contractors.

I kept on them and I finally got paid several months later, however, they still owe me for a few invoices. I recommend printing your unpaid invoices because when I continued to complain, they shut off access to my account. I would recommend threatening to file a complaint through your state AG's office state that you will cc the NVMS client as well (most of mine were Equifax). Hope this helps.

I did end up getting paid for most of the work, however, they still owe me for a couple jobs. They ended up disabling my login since I kept complaining about non-payment so I could not log in to see what I was owed. I received a call asking me to do more work and she promised I would get paid for jobs I was already owed if I completed more work. I told her to keep the money.
