Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

When I first purchased this home from Oak Creek I was a single mom. My fience went with me to look at the home and to the closing. The people were rude to me. Every time I called they were very short with me, however, when my fieance would call he could get answers etc. Funny to me his name was no where on the papers it was only my name.

Received a call at 12:00 one day stating that they were on their way to Carthage from Austin to deliver our home. We had no idea they were coming we had not told them we were ready for the home to be deilvered. Needless to say my fiance had to take off work so the home could be delivered. I called the Tyler office talked to the office manager and he said I was s**t out of luck. When my now husband called up there he told him  that he had not talked to me. I called back the next day talked to another man in the office and asked about the keys to the home since they forgot to bring them when they brought the house and he was rude and said I could not get my keys since I had an FHA loan. I told him I did not have an FHA loan and he argued with me and hung up on me. My husband called back and he said he was sorry had me confused with someone else. I thought REALLY.

We have had the home since April 2013 and we have yet to get the repairs done that need to be done. I have sent an e-mail and letter to corporate office with no luck on hearing from anyone. My flooring in my bathrooms are coming up. My flooring in my master back has a cut 2 inches from the toilet that goes all around the toilet. I had a bubble in my kitchen floor that they "came out to fix" they cut my floor to get the air out and put the glue over their cut they made and now I have another bubble beside the one they said they fixed. I have shelves at the end of my island and they put a whole in one of my shelves just to fix the out let that did not work. I have staple makres down EVERY wall in my house that they say they can not fix that is something that I will have to live with. Looks like YUCK!! My shower in my master back I can not use because they did not bring the part. I had to send a list to the place in Tyler stating what all needed fixing and the shower was on the list but ONCE again since I'm a woman I had no idea what I was talking about there was no piece missing I just did not know houw to get the shower on track. Funny, when they came out it was missing the part. Needless to say I have bubbles in all my floorin in the kitchen and both bathrooms that did not get fixed. All my carpet is coming up and if you are lucky when you walk on the carpet you want step on something. When I pulled the carpet and it ripped up I looked under the padding they did not clean under the padding so the stuff that I was feeling when I walked on my carpret was pieces of wood they did not clean up before they put down the carpet.

Just last Sunday 12/14/13 we burned a fire for the first time in our fireplace and my husband was sitting in front of the fireplace playing with the family pet and I was in the bed room when he yelled at me. My house was full of smoke. The ENTIRE metal plate that is in the fireplace to hold the fire wood fell out of the fireplace with the burning hot wood and now my carpet is burnt and I have to replace that myself because they are not responsible for this they say. Even though they looked at the fireplace and said we could use it.

As a single mom at the time when I purchased this mobielhome I just did not have 65,000.00 dollars to throw away. I very sick that I even purchased from these people. I have told all my friends NOT to go there. I have worked very hard for what my daughter and I have and it sucks that they do not care. Yes, I do have a husband now but the COMPANY should fix their mistakes, or just fix what is wrong period.

We have not heard back from the company for like 4 months now. Guess it takes that long to the part for the showere that I do not know anything about. Needless to say my floors have yet to be fixed or my shower. So I have had a home since 4/15/13 and I can not use my shower in my master bedroom and now I have to purchase carpet for my living room or file a claim on my insurance so my permium will go up. Which one should I do. Seems to me either way I get screwed.

Get out your purchase and sale agreement and warranty paperwork

Sounds like they are giving you a rough way to go because they think they can. The best way to handle it is to get all of your documentation together (purchase and sale agreement, closing paperwork and mortgage information) and review it to see how you must notify them legally according to the warranty. Usually an email is not sufficient. You probably have to give a written notification for the repair work that needs to be completed in accordance with their paperwork. They might require you to send it Certified Mail, Return Receipt Request. It will be stated in the contract or the warranty paperwork the exact method that you have to use to get warranty work completed. I doubt they told you verbally because it really sounds like they are looking to not perform.   Remember: the lender is not the manufacturer. The warranty will state where you need to send your repair/warranty requests. Follow it exactly.

Make sure you take photos and log your communication attempts. From your post, I bet the manufacturer has a limited warranty and they are just trying to drag you across the time frame without proper response so they don't have to fix anything. I bet the time frame is pretty short too (one year or less). So do the proper notification right away. Keep records.

If it were me, I would be going to an attorney immediately with the list of items if they don't respond to your CMRRR letter right away. They won't ignore a letter properly sent from an attorney. You have to stand up and fight back (not that you don't know this already).

Congratulations on getting it together enough to buy your own home on your own :) Good luck.
