I noticed that this report is captioned "Ocwen Federal Bank aka Ocwen Financial". How many hats can one institution legally wear at one time? This "Ocwen Financial" seems to be a fairly recent entry into these reports. I have noticed many reports lately where people report that Ocwen is now informing them that Ocwen is NOT a bank, but simply a "finance company". Yet when Ron Faris issues his lame press releases, he expounds at length about the Federal bank charter and the "stringent regulation" by the OTS (ahem, choke). So, does anyone know which it is? Is it legal for Ocwen to change caps back and forth as the whim suits them? Why is Ocwen changing its status on nearly a daily basis? Could this have anything to do with the suit in Hartford, CT? Does anyone know what is going on here? It seems that Ocwen hides behind its Federal charter one day and then leaves that shield behind the next, only to step back behind it again later. Is it hide and seek, sleight-of-hand, or are the upper echelons of Ocwen in such disarray that they themselves no longer know whether to poop or get off the pot? Any answers, anyone?
