OLM ripoff Security breach bad business practices illegal business practices Trumbull Connecticut
OLM was hosting my company's website. Due to some unforseen problems I began having with the webmaster who was constructing the new site, I fired her. Before I did, I went to OLM and changed the password to keep the webmaster(Patti Salmon) from gaining access to the site and disabling it or hacking it.
Unknown to me, Ms. Salmon was a reseller for OLM so she knew many of the technicians who worked for te comapany. She used her influence as a reseller for this company to gain access to the new password.
Not only did OLM give her the new password, they KNEW what she was doing WHILE SHE WAS DOING IT and did nothing to stop it. The site was destroyed and Ms. Salmon launched a huge picture of a rear facing donkey with KISS MY A** in huge letters across the top of it under my company's website address along with some derrogatory information about the site being disabled because we did not pay our bill.
Both of these companies are still in business and I have had to live in fear of them doing it again till I could find a new webmaster AND a new hosting company. This on top of the money I paid them both that was just wasted that they refused to refund.
This involves a serious breach of security.
