Matt from One Stop Motors called me on my registered DO NOT CALL line in September 2009 to ask me to advertise my truck online with them. I was wary, but he said if it didnt sell within 6 months I could get my money back.

There was a procedure to follow in order to be eligible for a refund. I spoke with Jazmin at 5:35 on October the 10, 2009 to confirm that I had properly followed the procedure and she said everything is okay.

(I dont deny missing something on the procedure, but it was a little confusing, which is why I called Jazmin, who said everything is okay. So while they say I missed a second e-signature, or something like that, I didnt realize it, since Jazmin didnt direct my attention to it when I called asking for support/help in understanding and making sure I had done everything correctly).

The truck did not sell within the 6 months (activity dropped to ZERO, not a single lead, even after lowering the price below what Matt had recommended) so I requested a refund, which was denied. I called in to complain, and once again I spoke to Jazmin at 12:45 on April 20, 2010. She said I did not sign one of the online forms and that I should have called in to speak to someone to make sure everything was in order.

I looked through my records, and incredibly, it was Jazmin whom I had spoken to the first time! I called back, and she acknowledged it, but also said that they would nonetheless not refund my money since it wasnt in writing. Is she hypocritical? Would you trust them?

Needless to say, I dont trust them; I feel they have stolen my money, and I DONT RECOMMEND ONE STOP MOTORS!!!

Below is an exerpt from manager Alan Gills response to the Las Vegas BBB:

He now disputes that he was not informed or advised as to what items were necessary in order to be in compliance with the One Stop Motors MBG Policy.  With all due respect to the claimant, nothing could be further from the truth. During the aforementioned recorded verification call, the claimant acknowledged that he was to log into his account as instructed by the agent.  When a customer contacts OSM and has questions about the MBG policy, they are either directed to the OSM website, or they are mailed a copy of the official terms and conditions.  At no point was he misled by any OSM representative regarding the compliance or lack thereof regarding the MBG policy. As a matter of fact, he never attempted to contact us prior to sending in the form to check on his account.  He claims that he was advised by Jazmin in customer service that all conditions had been met in order for him to receive his refund.  As previously stated, this is against One Stop Motors policy and is not correct. Any time a customer calls in regarding the refund terms and conditions, he or she is directed to the website in order to avoid any claims of misrepresentation.

Alan Gill turned my words around, dishonestly. I didn't say that I was not "informed or advised as to what items were necessary"; I claimed that I had spoken to Jazmin and that she said everything was okay. Also, she told me on a second occasion that I should have spoken to someone, which I did.

If Alan Gill wants to dispute something, let him denythat Jazmin said everything was okay on October 10, and that she told me on April 20 I should have spoken to someone first. Let him deny these simple claims, without deceivingly adding extra words.

By the way, every time I call in to One Stop Motors to ask to speak with a manager, I'm informed that the case has already been decided and that it is not possible to speak with a manager. So I called the attached cell phone for Alan Gill (it was in the forwarded response from him to the BBB). He yelled at me for calling his cell phone, said that he would block my number, and to never call it again, and he still would not discuss the matter, and hung up on me. He said to call him at his office on Monday, but that I nonetheless may not be able to reach him there either.

Well, Ive already tried calling his office, and they wont put me through to any managers. I guess its okay for the BBB to call his cell phone, but not his own customers.

One Stop Motors is committed to providing aggressive and effective advertising for all of its' customers.  In most cases, we are able to assist both buyers and sellers throughout the entire purchase transaction.  We offer fraud protection for buyers, financing and shipping for buyers, and can assist with the successful transfer of title between both parties.

In July of 2009, One Stop Motors decided to offer a Money Back Guarantee in the event the vehicle did not sell within 180 days.  For most sellers of OSM, the policy was irrelevant because their vehicle sold well before this date.  For those that did not successfully sell their vehicle, they had the option of either requesting a refund or continuing the advertising.

As with any policy, it did come with eligibility limitations and restrictions that we required in order to be considered eligible for the money back guarantee. These conditions, clearly posted within the home page of OneStopMotors.com, are available to be viewed by all existing and potential customers.  As of April, 2010, OSM discontinued the money back guarantee, but will still honor it for those that signed up for the Platinum Package prior to April 27, 2010.  The terms and conditions are still available and can be viewed by logging into the customer account area.

OSM recognizes that in order to provide a complete service to its' customers, the vehicle must be listed until sold. For this reason, any person that did not meet the requirements of the refund is welcome to contact OSM customer service to continue the advertising. Not only will we continue to list it for sale, we will personally work with the seller to develop a new marketing strategy. We will not be satisfied until every vehicle on our site is sold!  All current sellers advertising their vehicles with OSM are guaranteed to have the marketing continue until it is sold.  This is truly a benefit that One Stop customers appreciate.

To discuss this with One Stop Motors directly, please feel free to call 877-566-6686 Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm PST.  Our friendly customer service representatives are more than happy to assist you.
