My daughter admitted to calling a LOCAL phone number that, according to him, had been totally free, but now charges for long distance to use the phone chat service. I decided to call the service to see if A. they stated clearly their contact information and if they had a "pin" number security measure. Instead I found that they have a "press one to accept the charges" option (according to the FTC, that is illegal) and no contact information at all. You can press 3 for more information but the name, address and contact telephone number does not exist. B. they state that the charges will be on your monthly phone bill. That is misleading because they were NOT on my phone bill. C. All charges were not itemized as to date of call, time of call, length of call and phone number called on their bill. That is also in direct violation on FTC rules.
