Orleans Jewelry - De Grado Guarantee Is A Lie!! ripoff, lied, false guarantee, bad jewelry, bad counterfeit diamond, discolouration stone New Orleans, Mandeville Louisiana
My husband and I purchased counterfiet diamond rings from Orleans Jewelry with a guarantee that stated if it needed cleaning or discolourade they would replace the ring.
I have had to send the ring in to the store 5 times in 2 years to clean and improve the stone color. The guarantee is a total lie because they want you to pay for the cleaning although it should be of no cost.
Worse than that... the saleman stated the jewelry could be worn and used as a real diamond. Although supposedly set in 14k gold; the ring turned green and the stone cracked. I also had to spend 20 minutes any time I wore it cleaning it to make it look decent.
DONT BUY JEWLRY FROM ORLEANS JEWELRY!! If you are strapped for cash you may as well spend the money and buy a real ring at (competitor's names deleted - see below) to avoid this mess. DO NOT BUY FROM ORLEANS JEWELS.

Jewelry Periodically Needs To Be Cleaned

As the owner of Orleans Jewels we have prided ourselves as having the best customer service possible for over 53 years. I came across this post not long ago and was surprised as this is the only negative comments or expericence I was able to find about us on the internet. Lets face it jewelry and more specifically rings get dirty and need to be periodically cleaned and yes we do provde a service were we will clean and polish your jewelry for a nominal fee.
I'm not sure what to say about the fact she needed to send in the ring 5 times in 2 years. If we received the ring and it was dirty, we cleaned it. It there was any other issue with the stone or stones other then being dirty we would simply replace the stones. Now if the stones are damaged our guarantee does not cover damaged to the stones or setting.
Since 14K gold is 58% gold and the remaining are metal alloys used to cast the gold. Copper, zinc and nickle are the most commonly used alloys. In rare case solid 14k gold jewelry can leave your skin green, this can be affected by the acidity of your sweat and can react with the alloys in the gold. Since I have no way of knowing who the customer is or what was purchased I cannot say for sure why the ring may have reacted with her skin.
I would like to point out that since this is the only negative comments about our company speaks volumes about our company and the efforts we go to to ensure our customers are happy with their purchase. We are always willing to listen to our customers and help them with any issues they may have with our jewelry.
