I purchased a Super 200p welding unit from Otdeal/United Welder July 16, 2007 for $1533.50. Took nearly a month to receive and plasma torch is clearly used. It functioned for about two hours then quits. Reported failure and after many emails finally got an RMA number. U.W. insisted I include a cashier check (cost $2.00) for $145.00 to cover return shipping. Per instructions I packed everything and paid $84.85 to insure and ship to them.
Round two: October 25th, received second Super 200p. Guess what, it doesn't fully function, plus this "new" unit is missing parts. Again via email I report the failure (I never had someone answer the phone at United Welder). Received a responce to return ship the failed unit. I complained in responce about paying shipping and the unacceptable delay in getting a functioning welder. They agreed to pay shipping to United Welder and assurance that as soon as I emailed the tracking number a third unit would be shipped.
Per instruction from United Welder packed and shipped the welder only, keeping the TIG torch, plasma torch, MMA cables, and foot control as these items where fine, except missing parts they said would be sent. Sent tracking number on 11/1/07, U.W. said it would ship a third unit as soon as they receive a tracking number. I had to prod them to get them to ship replacement , I finally received my "new" welder on 11/26/07.
Round three: United Welder shipped two units to me, a WSME200 and a Cut50, as replacement for the Super 200p I ordered. These two units togather are functionally the same as the unit I ordered and paid for, but they should have informed me of their intent to change my order. The TIG and plasma torches that U.W. had me keep from the Super 200p of course do not work with the replacement unit they have sent.
Conclusion: United Welder/Otdeal/Oakland Trade LLC advertised and sold to me the Super 200p plasam cut/welding unit. It has been nearly five month and they have yet to deliver a unit that works. Now in an attempt to ship me something, they have changed to items I did not order. I believe I have been fair and patient in this matter but have now requested a refund of $1765.35, my total investment in this fiasco. Now that I have asked for a refund United Welder no longer responds to email. If you are reading this prior to purchasing from this company I strongly encourage you to concider my experience with them.

Please let it be known that United Welder has indeed refunded my purchase price for the Super 200p multi-process welder. I will uphold my word and say that "I retract my above complaint". I am only out over $200.00 paid in shipping charges and I would guess 40 hours of my time to resolve. I did tell United Welder that I would remove my complaint, but I have not been able to figue out how, and I'll be d***** if I'll spend much time to. Have a nice day and thank you for reading!
