Owens Corning employees are independent contractors consequently the more they charge the the customer the more they make.
All give aways, big screen TV, $1,000. debit card are added to the cost of the deal meaning the customer pays for them.
List price can be discounted 30% or more. Anyone paying more or accepting a give away is getting ripped off.
This information will hopefully help consumers get a fair deal.
Finally don't buy into their fear tactics about mold, mildew and length of installation time for other products. Most Owens Corning installations take 3 months from the contract date.

as a former sales rep for Owens Corning basements I can tell you as far as pricing, they can discount the list or retail price by 35 to 38%. mold is always an issue in a basement with drywall on the outside walls( I've seen it firsthand). Thery are required to read you the "right to recind" provision in the contract and indicate that date at the bottom of the contract. If you decline their quote and discount on the initial visit, they will tell you that will never be offered that price again. But, if there was any wiggle room left in the price their marketing dept will contact you and offer additional savings on what you were quoted.( keep in mind you can allways get 35% off retail price, but with some arm twisting you can get a discount of 38% )
